The hdd and the PSU aren't your problems. UNTIL you take care of the 6800. Well, once you start down the silent path, forever will it dominate your destiny....... You are SO right, burcakb. As soon as you get the other parts quieted down, that constant droning oscillation of the PSU will make you b...

Lowering CPU usage with EMIII or console version.
Well, I think the subject about says it all. How can I lower my CPU usage from F@H. I run EM3 and the console version of F@H. I know how to change it in the GUI version of F@H, but not the console. Any help is appreciated!

I have a Swiftech CPU and GPU block and found the Quickconnects to be just that. Took 2 seconds to get them on. I'm curious about what was going on with yours? I put a very thin layer of Vasoline around the plug to make sure I could get them out later. Also, sorry about the pump. I have a Hydor L30,...

I have a few questions about fans and amps. The Panaflo 120mm M fan states a rated current of 340mA and a rated input of 4.08. Which number do I care about? I've found a great 500mA adapter that has 6v-12v options. Does the Amp draw stay the same even if the Voltage is lowered? Namely, at 12v it loo...

I need more BQE fans!
Okay, I need 4 120mm fans (don't ask, it's a surprise), and I love the 120mm fan that came on the back of my Antec. It's quieter than my ST-400 fan even though the antec is not undervolted, and the ST fan is. :x Does anyone know where to get these fans in Canada? I also saw someone say the Globe 120...

I'm going to put the whole radiator/pump contraption into a wood box with carpet all inside it and put 2 fans on the rad. That was the UK GQ (February edition, Gwyneth Paltrow on the front), not the North American one. They are VERY different. In my opinion the NA one blows. Smaller. Less interestin...

tolietduckuk, GQ had a great article called "How to ruin a Prem club in 800 days." Brilliant. I realize 3 teams go down every year (I was pissed when the Hammers went down) but Leeds was a big club. Champions league big. I think watercooling your HD is legit...at least I plan on doing it, because I'...

Holy crap, people. How is moving your computer do a different room different from putting carpet on the inside of your case? I'm glad this solution worked for this guy. I'm glad your solutions work for you, but why jump down his throat for sharing his experience? I'm a little disappointed in people....

Swiftech itself used to sell barebones kits, but I was just checking the site now, and there was no sign of them.
Koolance offers barebones, check here: http://www.koolance.com/products/produc ... egory_id=2 There are several pages of them. Was that what you were looking for?

My goal is to get back into the top 30. I started folding for the Mighty 31574 days after it was announced, but my AMD 800 T-Bird quickly relegated me to the back of the pack. I quite quickly slipped down to the thirties. Now I have a 1700+, a 2100+, a 2.8HT, a 2600+, and a 2.4 folding for me. I hop...

I had no trouble with that omission, Ralf. :) I used to just not like cats, but my new girlfriend has one. Now I really REALLY dislike them. This cat completely ignores both her and me unless it's hungry. Then it's all 'Purrrrrr' and rubbing up against your legs. So basically it only gives you love ...
