AFAIK It applies to non of the cores of the opty ;)

Just like you need two clients running to use both cores, you'll need a third client running to use the graphics processor.

The information till now says nothing about the scoring system or the types of WU's used. Only that the raw computing power is 20x to 40x as big. Maybe we'll see a new class of WU's on monday with a bigger number of amino acids. They have to give people with these speed monsters some benefit, but if...

Only question is if it would lead to stagnant warm air pooling up in the top of the front chamber with the psu taking air in from the bottom - especially worrying because the Tornado has small vents in the front and pushes a small portion of heat out in that direction. Is the PSU hanging above the ...

The Termaltake is not worth the money. Read X-bit labs where they test this PSU in their mass test of Tt PSU's and manage to blow it up @ 380W. The Antec True Power (2?) is not marketed as quiet. So it probably isn't. If that Antec SmartPower is a SmartPower 2, then it is on SPCR's recommended list ...

But the dvd has to be attached to the top/front so that it can be stealthed with a chunk of mdf on the front of it, etc. Not sure that really has any implications for a airflow divider. Just make the gap bigger than the drive and line the edges with soft foam. If you don't already have the DVD driv...

Those products each target a different problem. The main strenght of the Acoustipack is mass loading. It's foam layer is rather thin. The Sonex Willtec on the other hand is completely concentrated on damping airborne vibration (aka sound). Since we don't know which problem you will have with your no...

http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/2656/divisiongd3.png This isn't really that elaborate IMHO. Besides, if you use something more sturdy than cardboard, then it is a nice attachment point for the DVD and the HD suspension. It's not that I think your case would get hot without it, but the airflow cl...

Are you worried that your steel case shorts out your mobo? Don't think so (unless you do something really stupid). The same goes for using a aluminium duct. Besides he told you to glue felt to it, so how could the aluminium touch the mobo?

If somebody makes generalisations, it is always possible to find an example were the generalisation doesn't hold true. That doesn't make the generalisation invalid or useless.

Monitoring chips on mobo's are standard chips. The most common ones can report 3 different temperatures. But not all mobo makers connect three temperature sensors to them. Frank, can you explain to me why you think the heatpipe in the Zalman and the fan in the M12 are solutions to the same problem?

The heatpipe provides extra cooling to something in the middle of the PSU. The fan fixes the dead zone in the front of it.

The problem is probably that they didn't file the patents in enough countries. You can file your patents in e.g. Korea, the US and Japan, but that does not make them valid in the rest of the world.

Heatpipes are appropriate because they remove heat from one location and place the cooling elements where the air flow is adequate. And that is exactly why it is evident that this heatpipe is a marketing gimmick. It's starting point is the one heatsink that is already ideally placed in the airflow....

If it is solid, then it is not a heat PIPE. Then it is just a copper rod. And a very bad solution in a heatsink to boot. (Small diameter does not allow enough heat transport.)
