BrianE, not so fast! I'm running with the big dawgs with this P180. :) My case fired up the first time and I'll be posting pics on my web site later. I got too tired to continue the wiring job. Ah well, I'll post them anyway and work on it again at some point. My temps have dropped by 2 degrees whic...

No, he means this one . Actually SHE meant that one. :D Hey now, I may be a girl, but my P180 is in the other room waiting for me to build it. (In case anyone clicked on the link). It is a dry heat, but so is an oven as we say here in Phoenix! We have had a stretch of 110+ degree plus weather for a couple of weeks. I can't run my AC lower than 80F when I'm home or I'd have to sell my new 180 to pay part of a months electricity bill! We are under a National Weather Service heat...

Well I hope its long enough for the p180 and a DFI LanParty mobo because I just bought the case and PSU  When are you building it? I took today off so I can build mine today...as soon as I wake up some more. What components are you installing with it? Do you have much experience with qu...

I was looking at the SmartPower 2.0 (450W) today, and I think it's cables are probably too short for use in a P180. Main ATX: 12". 12V Auxiliary: 13". Thanks for the info. The main ATX is 20" end-to-end. Where it comes out of the PSU to the very tip. Because of the connector position on my mobo (ab...

Re: Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-500 cord lenght?

Anyone know how long the main ATX cord is? I want to get the P180 with a MSI Neo Plat and wanted to know if the main ATX is long enough. I"m thinking 24 inches would suffice. :? I just measured it. From the tip of the connector to the back where it comes out of the power supply is 20". End-to-end.....

Damn, then I guess I have to go out and buy me a Cooler Master 450w... I posted in another thread that according to the Antec customer service person I spoke to, all Antec PS should reach. I find that doubtful. I picked up the 500 Watt even though it's more than I need at Fry's during my lunch brea...

Ralf, thanks for the assurance and pic. Nice job. I have to pick this up today from a local retailer and so far I've struck out. I goofed by not researching a PSU while researching the P180 and ordering a PSU. I don't need a 500 watt but the local Fry's has an Antec Smart Power 2.0. What's your take...

I have an Antec 430w Truepower too. My problem is I dont think it'll reach...I'm pretty sure the ATX main is 16 inches. But if it does reach, then great! Post a pic for us? I dont have my P180 yet ... I am going to get a new PS today. I'm seriously considering the Antec SmartPower 2.0 500W Power Su...

Thanks, but I really want at least the ATX to be sleeved... Why is that even important? Sure it look nice, but its not liek the p180 has a window. Once you close the case up it no longer matters. If I was getting a p180 I would probably get a smartpower 2.0, becuase of the push-pull fans. It just m...

I hear you. I have to admit the PSU was an after thought and a mistake. I was so focused on the enclosure. But I know a not quiet PSU sort of defeats the purpose of such a nice case. At least the plug on my mobo is on the edge about 40% down. Not quite the center of the board, but close. Sorry about...

OK Now I'm *Really* Confused--P180 Compatible PSU?

I'm getting my P180 tomorrow and figured I'd get a new PSU that's quieter than the Antec True Power 430 in my 1080 case. I've read the reviews and tons of threads here. Here's my wish list: Has to be long enough for the P180. At least the ATX needs to be sleeved. The more sleeving, the better actual...

I tried all of my local stores first too. I read on another list that at the California Fry's they are trickling in. They just showed up on outpost.com too. The price is $160+tax. CompUSA has them listed in their database so when Antec has more, they will be carrying them as well. I could not find a...

I"m Crossing My Fingers

Thanks for the reply. I hope it works out as I like this PSU a lot. It has the fan only connectors, two SATA which is just enough for my Raided 74 Raptors, nice nylon sleeve for the ATX and it's pretty quiet. The position on the mobo is in a good spot. If it does not reach I'll dash out to Fry's for...

Antec 430W True Pwr Fans Question For P180

Edit: Nevermind, I read that it sucks the air out and then through the back fan, so I think I'm ok. I got the Antec PS included in my 1080 Antec. I like that it's sleeved. What I am not so sure about is the second fan on it. Since I will be installing it upside in the P180 (delivery on Monday) I'm w...

Just Ordered P180

Hi All, I've been reading the forums for some time and finally am posting for the first time. I'm a female who has been building my own rigs for quite a few years and back in the day I was one of two women I was aware of who was into overclocking. These days, I am wanting to run quiet. Most vendors ...
