Thanks for the response
I appreciate it. I hadn't heard of themal glue yet. Would you know if there is much of a reduction in heat transfer compared to standard thermal grease?

I appreciate your iput. The reason I asked about the specific motherboard, is that I have read some comments about peoples motherboards not having the standard connectors for the NorthBridge so they had a hard time replacing the cooling unit.

Thank you
I appreciate the responses. Thanks to you I did actually order the 6a19. I still have more to find out about replacing the chipset cooler on my motherboard and sound padding for my case. The help I've gotten here has saved me from numerous returns.
Thanks

Will I require fans for my case? LX-6a19
I have many questions since none of my previous computers required additional fans in the past. I'm putting in a 2.8 P4 800 with a Zalman 7000a on an MSI NEO2 FIS2R and an ATI 9600 pro with a SATA WD1600JD hard drive with and enermax noisetaker EG375P-VE if that helps you know if I need the fan(s). ...

Did the 6a19 come with 120mm fans?
I just ordered the $39 directron model of the compucase 6a19. I was wondering if it came with fans or should I order some. If it came with fans, can you tell me what model they are?
Thanks
Thanks

I'm not sure what I'm looking at in the drawing since your signatures says you have a SLK900U on your Asus but it looks like the Intel 875PBZ with the SLK900U - chances are you were diligent enough to take a picture of an old configuration. If that is the intel motherboard, it is 292 mm and the MSI ...

replacing the chipset fan on the MSI NEO2 FIS2R
Has anyone done this? That fan is annoying and I'm sure it could be replaced with a passive radiator but I'm not sure if the system will start without the fan running. Has anyone tried the Zalman ZM-NB32J on this specific motherboard?
Thanks

Ordered the 6a19
Thanks for eveyone's help. I like the 4252 better but it is a little too short to handle the motherboard CPU cooler I ordered so I ended up with the 6a19. I'll stop at Home Depot today to see what sound absorbing material is available. I'm looking at the acoustipack but $80 for the deluxe package se...

Cooling the MSI NEO2 FIS2R chipset with a Zalman ZM-NB32J
Has anyone replaced the active fan on their MSI motherboard chipset with the passive radiator? I'm curious if the system will know the fan has been removed and let the system boot.
Thanks

Thanks. Your suggestion about the 6A19 is valid. My issue is finding a local vendor that actually carries these items so I can measure them for myself. Often Vendors get their measurements from the manufacturer without checking them and I've been given some bad measurements in my time. My TV set was...

Thanks for replying. Sorry I missed this response! You have pinpointed the exact issue. I finally tracked down a friend with the 4252 and the 865PE Neo2-FIS2R motherboard. He measured and it would be a tad too close for comfort with the Zalman 7000a cooler I just ordered. So now I'm considering the ...

Good question about the 6a19. The problem is not having VERY exact measurements of the 6a19 or any other case's interior. I'd need to know how far below the power supply the MSI Neo2-FIS2R motherboard would sit. I'd need about a 1 inch or 3cm gap with the cpu cooler I've ordered. Do they have the 6a...

Where to get a Compucase 6919W without a PS?
Hello, I'm not sure if this post is allowed so my apologies in case it isn't. I've gotten some help from a lot of people on what case and although I like the 4252 because of the other components I'm getting I'll need to get the 6919 white from compucase for the additional space. Can anyone help me t...

Is this the Papst 4412 FGL the best 12cm?
Hello, I've been scanning through the posts and it looks like this is the best from what I've read but I realize different manufacturers have new models on a regular basis. Is there anyone who would say there is something with more bang for $20 or so? My system doesn't run too hot so I won't need an...

What is the best acoustic padding material?
Anyone know what is the best acoustic material for lining the inside of my new case? I've seen a few different ones available and one review but they didn't do a comparison of the differnt db differences with the same system lined with the different samples. I'd hate to spend $80 only to find out th...

Thanks for replying. I have the upper motherboard in your response, the one with the red pc board. I saw you said you have the MSI Neo2-FIS2R in an evercase. Which evercase model is it please? Zalman 7000A, MSI Neo2-FIS2R with a EverCase 4252?
I'm getting the Zalman CNPS7000(A) but I haven't decided on the case yet. The motherboard I've ordered is the MSI Neo2-FIS2R. My only question is will I have enough clearance between my power supply and the cooling fan. The motherboard needs to be more than a centimeter from the power supply and sin...

Should I get a muffler for my power supply?
I saw a couple of case mods which basically have boxes around the rear power supply that attach outside the rear of the PC to make the air go through a slight maze/bend.
Has anyone tried or tested one of thses?
Thanks

Should I mod a case or get a prebuilt "quiet" case
I'm going to order a new case today or tomorrow for a new system I'm building. I already have the power supply (EG375P-VE noisetaker) and the Zalman 7000A CPU cooler. I'm trying to build the system on the cheap so I'm not looking into anything as expensive as peltier or water coolers. For the money,...

What am I doing wrong with my Enermax Noisetaker?
I have an enermax noisetake (EG375P-VE) power supply which has a little knob in the back for adjusting the fan speed. Nothing seems to happen to the noise/speed when I turn the knob. I sent two e-mails to enermax last week and have not heard back. Could someone tell me if I need to do something else...
