Re: HR-02 CPU Cooler with 140mm PWM Fan for $39.95 MSRP
There is a terrific comparison in photographs on this Chiphell forum thread . The photographs speak for themselves and you can see that the Macho has one less fin layer. and another Chiphell thread compares performance of new vs old. Google translate does a poor job, but you can look at the numbers ...

Re: Intel DH61AG Media Series Mini-ITX mobo
Would be intresting if a manufacturer decides to release a laptop chipset for htpc, see ASRock CoreHT and Fujitsu ESPRIMO Q900 . How long will we have to wait for someone to sell ARM boards? Trim-Slice by Compulab (Fit-PC) is already on sale, although it's a complete Arm 9 Cortex + Tegra 2 system, ...

No, it doesn't seem to. Thanks, how did you find out? do you have one or were you able to find a manual listing the BIOS options? Not a total deal breaker with this board, just have to be sure and choose a lower TDP if I opt for a lower power PSU. ...But the Intel mobo should idle extremely low at ...

Intel DH67CF mini-ITX: is CPU undervolting an option?
Intel boards seem pretty good for power efficiency, and DH67CF is one of the few mini-ITX with DisplayPort. However, does it have a BIOS option to undervolt CPUs?

Those FSP plug in adapters appear to be available in 12V & 19V input, and 65W & 90W power rating. Useful if you want to use other power bricks. I like the fact that it's all SATA. mini-ITX LGA1155: efficient PSUs? PicoPSU+brick? or other?
I'm considering building a system with mini-ITX LGA 1155: i3 (maybe 65W i5 if I can find a good deal) Intel DH67CF 2.5" HDD SSD optical (maybe slim, but probably 5.25") It looks like a 120W PicoPSU + power brick would be adequate, but I'm not sure if it would be the most power efficient solution. Re: Silverstone Fortress FT03 microATX Tower
what is the reason of subpar thermal performance? How come it be cooler in a horizontal position, if the laws of physics - convection - would suggest the opposite? I don't like to be too critical of the SPCR reviews as the testing is good, and we cannot expect every configuration to be tested. Howe...

Re: Silverstone Fortress FT03 microATX Tower
it's directing some airflow down onto the motherboard that may benefit the RAM and the VRMs? and it's better positioned than the fan on the HSF would be to draw in cool air from outside. Re: Silverstone Fortress FT03 microATX Tower
I know 80mm fans aren't "sexy" these days. But a pair of those in place of the bottom 120mm fan would mean airflow directed at the GPU instead of more towards the CPU. read the full product description - you can remove the angled 120mm fan mount and use two 80mm fans instead :) It's designed to acc...

use the top without a fan and just set both fans to push air into the case? Has anyone got one of the King Mod kits? I'm considering getting one for my PC-A05N, but they are quite expensive for a few pieces of pre cut foam damping material, but I don't mind the cost if it does what it's supposed to. <150W Gold/Silver/Bronze PSUs for i3/i5+H55/H57 ?
What is available that will be really efficient with the new Intel i3/i5+H55/H57 systems? I was going to use an old 600W Seasonic in a new basic system, but it would be really far outside the optimal efficiency range. A 100W PSU looks like it would be appropriate based on the loads measured here: ht...
