Re: Coolest AMD CPU

I'm sorry if this question has been asked, but I couldn't find it. I am wonder which CPU is the coolest. From what I know, it should be the Thoroughbred B core 1700+ DLT3C processor. Is this correct or not? If someone has this chip, please tell me what type of temperatures you are getting and what ...

No, that's like owning two of Maxtor's old 5400rpm 10gb drives that made crunching noises akin to an entire elementary school eating Pringles in an ampitheatre.

By nature you let it do it's thing. If your case is really hot though you should consider a slow fan.

athlon powers what you want are mufflers mufflers forces the air to go zig zag lines which lets the air flow (air -> flows hehehe) but traps the sound in the sound absorbing material. check out this page: http://www.muffledcomputing.com/ there are other threads about muffling here you might want to...

The quietest 120mm fan undervolted will probably be the Panaflo M1A. Undervolted that is supposedly as quiet as the L1A but with more CFM.

Just my two cents...

The ZM-80A is overkill for that, especialy if you have an 80mm fan blowing over it. Dont spend that much. However if you want to be somewhat future proof spend the extra $15. Be warned that these are heavy and Zalman is going to be releasing a newer, light model with better clips. I dont know a rele...

Yeah don't put that over your fan holes. You would create an instant easy-bake oven. Darn, I thought that would be an easy way to block noise. I have that case below that has the really big grills in the front. :( http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?image=11-125-527-01.JPG/11-125-527-02.JPG/11-...

You can make your PC as quiet or even quieter than any Dell except the SX260, nothing can beat that thing. I know, I work with one, even with my ear pressed to the vent nearest to the CPU I cant even hear a system fan.

It can do this, assuming that your motherboard supports RPM monitoring and control with say, something like Motherboard Monitor.

if it dosent it will just turn the fans up to full speed. As was the case with mine.
