I ordered the AcoustiPack for the Sonata and have to say that I'm impressed. It's basically foam blocks and foam sheets and don't look like much but they actually work. Haven't tried the SilenX but I've got the Pabst 4412FBL and the Nexus 120mm and I think the Nexus is excellent. You can get it for less than £20 as well:-

What's the point of dumping 30W+ of heat right back into the case? I don't actually think its going to be as significant as you think it will be. My CPU probably dumps 70W-90W of heat into my case, disappated only by a small slab of finned copper. That doesn't have any adverse effects on the temper...

It won't work - it will just burn up.

I tried running a Duron 700mhz undervolted to 1.5v with a copper HS but fan disconnected and there was acrid burning within a minute, so I had to immediately disconnect everything. The HS was scaldingly hot to touch as well. I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm running the TT SilentBoost on a 2500+ o/c'd to 3200+ (2.2ghz) at 1.74v. That Yeong Yang (or whatever its called) cube case has 2 compartment - one for HDDs etc and one for mobo. Looks like a beast.

I found out where the high pitched whine / ringing was coming from. It wasn't the PC at all. It was coming from *cough* the fridge on the on the other side of the wall where by PC is located.....

I thought the 3500 was 320W and the 3000 slightly less than 300W or am I wrong?
