Phew.

*sigh of relief*

I misread that as Trogas for a moment, wondering "how the heck did he pull THAT one? He was behind ME last time I checked..." :).

BOTH of them are culprits. ATI *AND* NVIDIA.

Used to be AMD and INTEL who were primary culprits in the paper launches. Seems that this has now migrated over instead to the GFX buisness...

Hmpf. :(

You mean shader 3.0 games like Far Cry?

That being NVIDIA's "hype bunny" over ATI, what with the X800 still being on Shader 2.0 (and NVIDIA being able to do 3.0).

That's very handy that they've put in that sort of technology.

Thermal Throttling is a very good idea, all-round, if I may say so myself. I'd rather have something slow down than fry (like my GeFirce 2 Ultra for instance - grmbl).

The XP-120?

It's available in the US.

I'll get it as soon as I can ... (which should be hopefully in 1-2 weeks in the UK... *fingers crossed*).

Still deciding on which fan (though most likely Accousti Fan at this point).

Certainly might want to send of an e-mail to Enermax's support about this - whether there's something in need of getting replaced or whatever.

Maybe someone up here has some more advice?

So, other than the Accousti Fan, and the Enermax version of the Globe ... do we have any other 120 mm contender (quiet, of course) that we CAN mount? The list seems to be getting somewhat short. Hmm - I suppose Pabst is one brand we've not mentioned yet (and I've zilch experience with ANY of their f...

The "H" in "H1A" stands for "high speed".

You might want to get an "L" (Low) or "M" (Medium) version.

What exactly is it you're after?

Though I see that Trodas is making a blip on my threat monitor. Admittedly, a "catching up" rate of 14 points/day is something I can live with for a while... :).

Hmmm - once I've fixed my P3 up, definately have to get that one folding too :).

Take the HIS IceQ II X800, change the colour of the plastic cap, swap the sticker ... and you have a "Sapphire Toxic".

Difference being that the HIS cards are actually OBTAINABLE now :). Well - for the most part at any rate :).

As best as I recall, the Low-voltage and ULV are pretty much OEM-only.

To be perfectly honest, if you think about it, why "would" (should) Intel bother with the hassles of selling these to a channel? Just to satisfy a distinctly low % of geeks (us)?

Hardly :).

I find the NoiseTaker 475 pretty darn quiet.

Then again, I've got a Precott 3.4 GHz to cool, so I doubt that it's my current bottleneck. But blissfully silent, as far as I am concerned :).
