Nicest build I've ever seen. Seriously! It looks very clean, quiet and small.

Excellent work!

Perfect case for use with a pico, imo. Looks like a very quiet and efficient build. Nice job.

Btw it's an OCZ Vindicator and not a Corsair... not that it matters very much. :D

Sparkle 9500GT passive... experiences?!

I'm looking to downgrade my HD4850 since it gets a little too hot for me, as I barely game anymore. The passively cooled Sparkle 9500GT seems like a great choice to me. The 9500's have two performance profiles, one for 2d and one for 3d, meaning their idle power consumption is very low. Which is goo...

Re: Is it me or does the Quiet Drive suck?

They don't suck, but they can't be hardmounted. If you hardmount them in anything but a chassis made of granite they do indeed amplify vibration to an annoying degree. I use a 2.5" Quiet Drive on my Velociraptor, suspended, and I'm extremely pleased with it. Then again, because the drive was already...

Great looking motherboard. Both aesthetically and in terms of features. The only possible issue I see is that the CPU socket seems to be close to the edge of the board. This might make it difficult to install large aftermarket coolers, i.e. Ninja.

If this does indeed work with Hybrid Power, I might just sell my 4850 and buy a one of these and a new motherboard. I really dislike having a high idling card like the 4850 in my PC. :(

Never installed the VNF100, but I can safely say it's completely unsuitable for the HD4850. It just runs too hot, not just the GPU but the memory and VRMs mainly. I'm still using the stock cooling (fan never spins up) until I decide whether to build a separate gaming rig or try to get a low noise sy...

Silverstone ST30NF, how many versions are there...

... and how do I recognize them?

I've found some used ST30NF's (EFN300?) PSU's for sale and want to know how I can tell they're the most recent version.

Any help?

This card is an affront to nature as far as I'm concerned. :D I bought one, but am regretting it... all of the usual reasons -- idle power consumption, heat, noise, etc. I didn't do enough research before I pulled the trigger. How did you remove the internal structure? Did you drill out the rivets or is there an easier way? I'd like to remove the plateau that separates the 2 drive cages, but I want to be able to put it back, too. :D

Do you live in Japan? If not, you're gonna have a very hard time acquiring one. I've looked into it, and with shipping and taxes it just becomes an outrageous proposition.

I would absolutely love a Soldam Windy, but until they set up a retail channel in Europe, it's just not gonna happen. :((

Tried to find one of these but couldn't locate it in time, so I went with a HD4850 instead.

The Asus is supposed to disable the fan completely in idle, and only ramp up under 3D load. That's ideal, imo.

HD4850 and Zalman VNF100... will it fit?

I just ordered an HD4850 and a Zalman VNF100 but would like some confirmation on whether it'll fit. Zalman's website is of no help, and google provided me with a reference to the VNF100 fitting on a HD3850 (I'm under the impression all coolers that are compatible with 38xx cards also work for 48xx)....

That's unfortunate! The 200mm fan is loud and I'm using it as a "band aid" until I figure out my cooling solution. What kind of passive cooling does your 7950GT have? Interesting. I moved my system from a Silverstone TJ08 (same layout as your 340) to a MP180 two weeks ago. The first thing I did was remove the 200mm fan and seal the top vent. Unfortunately this caused my GPU (passive XFX 7950GT) to get far too hot (idle at 70c), even with 3 800RPM Slipstreams. :( ...

How do I slow down my 200mm Antec Big Boy?

I got my mini P180 a few days ago and immediately removed the 200mm fan before I even installed my system because I assumed the noise it produced would be too much compared to 400RPM SlipStreams.
