The Phantom 500 is not entirely fanless. It does have a fan that kicks in when the temperature rises up. From my experience a case can make quite a big difference when you are building a silent system (and the APlus case you have seems to have a mesh on the side panel, so all the noise goes out), so...

A64s on S754 don't support dual-channel access. That means that you can use 2 modules, but there won't be any bandwidth advantages. However it is not recommanded to use 3 modules, as that will force 2T Command Access, possibly DDR333 mode (depending on the MB & core revision) and could even not work...

It does stick out just a little bit (you can't really notice if you don't look very carefull), but it still looks very good, especially when compared to the old door.

No, I can't .. sorry :(. The aluminium on the interior of the door seems to be glued. Sorry about my crappy picture taking skills.

Why not get a 6600 ? It's load is 23W (a tad bigger than for X300), has better performance and it is cheap.

The front of the door doesn't seem changed (at least I can't notice anything different - the aluminium seems to be of the exact size to fill the plastic frame as it doesn't move even a little bit), but it doesn't bulge at all at the same room temperature at which the other door was badly warped.

door replacement

Today I got my P180 door replacement from Antec. It is perfect :). They seem to have added an aluminium piece on the inside of the door as well. I'll post some pictures later. Anyways, I'm very happy with Antec customer support :P

Most of the TNT2 M64s were passively cooled by rather small HSes, but they were also wroking at smaller frequencies; My guess is that a NB32 would be enough, but if you do have enough space, I'd say to get the NB47.

that thing looks like it was design to hinder flow as much as it is possible in that given space :) Well, do your math: if you use 10/8mm tubing for rest of the system, you have cross section of about 50mm2. With 8/6 tubing it's about 28mm2. Four 5/3mm tubes parallel mean 4*6mm2 = 24mm2 cross secti...

Download Nibitor 2.6 and Nvflash. First you have to save your current BIOS with Nvflash (you can do this only from DOS, so you'll need a bootable CD, flash or floppy with DOS; nvflash --save 66gt.rom is the instruction that will save your card's BIOS); now boot into windows, start Nibitor and load t...

Does tour 6600GT show temperatures ? Look in the nVidia configuration TAB (display -> advanced -> 6600GT). Is there a Temeperature entry in the menu ? If yes then download RTHDRIBL and run in in Window mode for at least 20 minutes. Keep the temperature monitoring open and watch the temperatures. If ...

Undervolting 6600GT

I have an ASUS N6600GT (AGP, 500/900). As it came from the box, the load temperatures (obtained after 3 hours of ATiTool Artifact testing) where 83C GPU and 52C Ambient. Being curious if AS5 would improve them, I cleaned the ASUS white goop and put a thin layer of AS5. That took my load temperatures...

From what I know the entire P120 line is louder than the P80, especially at seeks. I've seen only one PATA 200GB P120 (NIDEC w/ AAM enabled) and it was indeed louder than a SATA 160GB P80.

Do you think the flow from a seasonic will be enough to cool HD's? (I will likely have 3) I asume that you are referring to a Seasonic S12.
