There's a review of the new chipset cooler here:

It looks to be pretty decent. I might pick one up to see if it makes much difference over my NB47J.

The E6 Venice's (bar the 3800+) are rated at 67W. The 3700+, 3800+ and 4000+ are rates as 89W. I myself have just upgraded from an E3 Venice 3000+ to a 3700+ (OEM failed dual core) and have been very suprised and annoyed to see how much the temperatures have risen. The Venice used to idle in the low...

Yeah, NF4 chipsets do get remarkably hot and they do not have a temperature sensor, which I feel is a large ommitance. My EPoX board uses a Winbond chip for temperature sensing and fan control.

I felt the same as you about air intakes into the case. My solution was to open up both of the 3.5" bays and place a dust filter behind them. This is quite good, as there is a nice "tunnel" from there, through my Freezer 64 Pro and back to the lower case fan. It is difficult to rely upon the single ...

I purchased the 550W NeoHE that I had the opportunity to earlier in the thread, and I have to say I am very pleased with it. It is much, much quieter under load than my previous PSU's (Hiper Type R 480W and Enermax Liberty 400W) and it works flawlessly. I would recommend it.

It's good to see a SPCR review of these units. However, here are some of my thoughts on the V1-Ultra, which I have on my x1900xt. First of all, the instructions for installing it really aren't terribly good, especially when you are trying to follow them humgover, like I was. I had the same problem y...

See this thread that will give you some details on the Aurora: http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=28831 I have one and I like the design and build quality but it does pick up an awful lot of resonance from hard drives. I reckon that's its only fault really and I will be trying to suspe...

That looks really, really good. I have put as much Acoustipack as possible in my Aurora and that combined with the removal of the stock x1900 HSF has done wonders in terms of reducing vibrations and fan/motor noise. I also receieved an Antec NeoHE 550W PSU today, which should be quieter than the Hip...

I believe that the only method of quietening the AGP version of the 6600GT is the Zalman VF700. However, once fitted it does stick out above the card so clearance between it and your case could be an issue.

The nForce 4 chipset does not have a temperature sensor so the temperature you are seeing will be that of the sensor chip somewhere else on the motherboard. I have the passive blue Zalman HS on my chipset and that too gets blisteringly hot. I am not sure of the long term effects of having a very, ve...

I have an Aurora too. I really like the case but I do have 3 hard drives and the vibration that they produce compounded with the very thin and light alminium panels means that there is an annoying resonance being produced. I have ordered some Acoustipack to try to dampen this. Here are a few other i...

The Acoustifan will sit on the rear to cool the radiator and I will...

I saw no change really going from the stock thermal compound on my x1900xt to AS3. I guess with the temperature that the x1900's run at and the efficiency of the stock heatsink that the compound does not contribute much.
