Hey all,
I've read about the F3's humming noise but only scattered comments. I'd like to have more information so I need your feedback, especially from users who have their HDDs suspended (if that helps with the noise).
Thanks in advance.

Need opinions on the Sharkoon Vibe Fixer.
Considering it looks exactly like a NoVibes, can one assume it's as good?

Re: GELID Icy Vision Dual Fan VGA Cooler
Ok, I just ordered this cooler. Thanks for the review SPCR. In the review it is clear that @5v the fans are inaudible while @12v they are a bit loud. I was thinking by myself why not use my old zalman fanmate 2 with this gpu cooler as the fanmate can as low as 5v. Is there one wire for both fans to...

Opinions on Corsair HX650
Hi,
It seems the Corsair HX650 isn't talked about much over here. Is it because it's so noisy no one cares about it?
How quiet/noisy is it compared to the HX520/620?

Has anyone had any success in using the original Scythe Ninja (not rev. b) with socket 1156?

Re: Asus E35M1-M Pro: AMD Fusion Motherboard
Just a couple of corrections (you wouldn't expect any less from the resident Spelling/Grammar Nazi-wannabe!) The board ships with a terrible-sounding fan with tonal tendencies. It started at about 1900 RPM (18~19 dBA@1m) when we set the fan control mode to" Standard." (you forgot to add a ...

Enjoyable review Mike! Typo patrol! Page 3: "With the Rockus, the satellites are not producing any bass, [Aalmost] all of it is coming from the woofer box at my feet." The only thing missing was a Samsung F3 1TB. It's cheap, really fast but reports all over the Web state that it hums loudly.

Just a little typo at the very last sentence of page 5: "So even if you overclock to gain performance, there is no extra power penality at idle." --> penalty ;) I don't know when you started this review but there was a new BIOS released on the 27th, it supposedly reduces boot time. There's also a ne...

Re: WD 6400AAKS vs Samsung F3 1TB 7200rpm
I'm going to resurrect this old topic to ask about the F3. Does it also hum when suspended? I have two other mechanical HDD (both WD) suspended inside my Solo and I was thinking about adding an F3 instead of a Caviar Blue as it's cheaper and faster.

Re: Serenity i7 Sandy Bridge PC, SPCR Edition, by Puget Comp
Are you for real ? Yes I am. And unlike you, I'll use logic. If I want a quiet computer for programing do I need a Geforce GTX 580 ? answer is a resounding NO! Or if I want a digital audio workstation do I need "better" video card ? No again. You're the only one mentioning a GTX 580. Noticed how I ...

A decent 3rd party cooler would be quiet enough, no need to limit yourself in both choice and performance by only going with passive solutions.

Re: Serenity i7 Sandy Bridge PC, SPCR Edition, by Puget Comp
That computer needs a way better video card. What's the challenge in using a passively cooled low mid-end card? And with that kind of hardware, a 5750 feels out of place.

Right-click the link and click "Open".
The rest of us want the normal way, links opening in new tabs. Why should we have to have extra work because a minority want it the obsolete way?
