it matters a fair bit to me... i've got a quie(ish) fiel server with 9 HDs in it... you can't hear the HD whine as the PSU runs a little hot and fast... but the PSU fan noise is actualyl a lot less annoying than the HDs...so i'm always in two minds whether to fix the airflow issue to cool it down...

generally this is not possible unless the raid chip supports it...i doubt it'd be readable by any SMART utility anyway... no idea why, but i've never seen it in my experience of raid setups... i use a server raid card from areca that has its own temp monitoring, but that doesn't link automatically w...

strange choice from a silence perspective? (possibly...i've never used those drives...but the consensus seems to be WDs of Samsungs...i personally go for samsungs...very cool running...)

it's clearly aimed at a market which (on thw whole) is still under the impression that more RPMs are better (not this forum obviously) but have a look round some other computer hardware forums and see how many 15000RPM Hds you see bragged about with 2000W PSUs no doubt... so i think they thought the...

Antec Fusion / NSK2400 / (v2) Heatsink and VGA Compatability

Hi i was just wondering if people could drop down compatible heatsinks / VGA cards

and incompatible ones too!

i was personally interested if the Thermalright 92mm tower fit or their brands of VGA coolers.

Also the MSI passive 2600XT?

anyone who has any thoughts on this i'd be most grateful....

i think you're airflow woud probably decrease... but the noise would decrease more rapidly... as a newcomer to this, i think you'd find either of those fan options fine (there really isn't much between them) i'd also recommend the scythe series as well. I used the D series with a fan controller that...
