How about spring mounting? gel pads? rubber? Only thing good enough is to hang the pump in soft silicon cords or something similar, letting it touch nothing and use soft tubing at inlet / outlet. The Mcubed Vertical Silence, on the other hand, works just fine.
Just bought one and temps are good. Dtemp reports 38 C now with the HDD in the box placed on some foam outside of the case for testing. Light browsing and DC++ running for a couple of hours.

The Drive-A-Way is however not compatible with a Raptor since it cools too poorely.

My Drive-A-Way heated up my Raptor 74 so I had to salvage it before it got cooked. Not a good combo. Nexus numbers say the Drive-A-Way should lower HDD temps but they are lying. Temps according to D-Temp rising more than 5 degrees C, comparing box to free air both outside the case. Yuck!!!

I tried stuffing my Raptor 74 in a Nexus Drive-A-Way. According to Nexus the temps should go down but HDD temp reported skyrocketing heat, even with the box outside of the case. The product is un-useable for a 10.000 drive and the marketing is downright dishonest.

Thanks! The reason I want soft material is so I can use it on e.g. a HDD where the surfaces are never completely flat and smooth. Also hopefully if I can find some thick soft material maybe I can cool without transferring all the noise.

I second every bit of that last post! The best thing about w/c is the ability to use huge heatsinks! It's almost impossible to beat a top w/c system.
