if the 9600 does have lower performance than the 9500, i wouldn't mind as long as it's quiet and costs less! what about the 9200? could that be the perfect quiet card? I SERIOUSLY doubt that. 9200 might be quiet underperforming card which will be useless for gaming in less than a year is my guess. ...

Well I've been using those fan grommets from SA... (bought like 40+ of them at one time and for few systems I have... one of system hogging 24 of it)... They do make noticeble difference for my untrained ear. My case which has reputation for being solid case (cooler master ATC-201) used to have vibr...

The noise reduction material is likely a resonance damping material such as Dynamat. There is precious little clearance in the case to allow for foam. I wonder what the heck they mean by a noise reduction cable? I would want to know which fan they mean by, "quietest case/heat-pipe fan in the market...

Re: Coolermaster 201 or Lian Li pc-6x series?
I currently have a Lian-Li PC68 which is a great case, but I am not sure how quiet I can make this case. It certainly vibrates quite a bit, which is why I'm thinking about the coolermaster 201 silver case. Anyone used both of these cases? It seems like the coolermaster (after checking it out in a s...

I spent some extra ordinary amount of money on quieting my system down. Now in retrospect, it would cost about $300 more for brand new system vs changing parts... (changing part involved me $600-700 at least before selling the unused parts back) Thus, my vote goes to about $300 range. Frankly, most ...

Re: Help Needed...Cool My Computer on a Hot Floor
All, I live in Japan, and the house I live in has floor heat where hot water passes through pipes under the floor in order to heat the house (quite antiquated, I know). I have to believe that having my computer sitting directly on my heated floor contributes significantly to the overall temps my co...

If this works...
If it works as mentioned, it could be an win & win situation. 1) Sound insulation thru PVC pipe (highly unlikely from what I can see unless they can minimize turbulance in it... more likely it will generate additional vibration is my guess though) 2) Cooler temp means lower fan speed necessary... de...

Any review of water cooling units for silence level?
As the processor generates more heat (I fully expect 80w to be standard in highend CPU for next few years)...air cooling will have its limitation as far as silence is involved. (Even with upcoming 9nm production I don't expect it to run much cooler as they are ramping up on speed and die circuits) R...

Roughly half to 2/3 of truepower. (guessing based on my experience with true power/zalman/seasonic... and nexus is supposed to be quieter).armageddon415 wrote:I currently have the truepower, how much quieter is the Nexus compared to the truepower?
Frankly, I would fan mod truepower as it is great PSU already.
