i just added another member to my folding farm: thor he's a dual xeon 2.4Ghz at 2.8Ghz ... running 4 f@h clients so everyone still in front of me ... you better watch out for that big iron :) although, he's not really silent yet. The stock 60mm intel coolers scream at 5500rpms ... . But swif...

What are you using to measure the temps? Has Shuttle started including temp monitoring software that works with the ATi chipset? Ralf, I could not find any temp monitoring software yet. I'm using an external temp sensor (Enermax UC-A3FATR2 fan controller and temp sensor). The sensor is attache to t...

i have a shuttle zen (st62k), which has an external psu. I run a P4 2.6C undervolted to 1.2V. There is one single fan left in the system and it runs at 1300-1400rpm. CPU Temps are 37°C under full load (folding)!

I highly recommend the st62k ... just undervolt the cpu :)

Until recently i got mainly small gromacs (5 pointt) and some tinkers. Since around easter, i'm getting a steady supply of 25 and 40 point gromacs ... which is helping my score a lot :) My XP 2500+ is finally silent enough (undervolted to 1.4V), together with a bequiet PSU and a Thermalright SLK-900...

Thanks for the welcome :) i fold under the name genetomcat. My challenge is to have machines that fold very quiet, as i'm sleeping in the same room with all the machines. But that's why i'm reading SPCR :) I have a Shuttle Zen folding 24/7 ... it's a P4 1.8A with one lonely fan ... very quiet. The o...

i have the same P4 1.8A too. Even with the normal voltage, is stays fairly cool (30C idle and about 42C under load). In my new Shuttle ZEN, i can undervolt it to 1.2V and now it runs 34C under load :)
