Fish Tank and Copper Pipe home made Reserator idea
Ok, I'm just wondering if anybody thinks this would work. This would look fugly as hell, and it would cost $50 for the copper.....but it would be quiet :D . I am imagining a 10 gal or whatever fishtank you get for cheap at a garage sale. You get 100 ft of half inch type M copper tubing for $50 ($5 p...

Here is a retarded idea: what if you bought a bunch of 1/2" copper pipe, cut it so that each pipe stuck out of the aquarium a foot, and put it in the aquarium in a big bundle........that way it would act like a radiator but the water wouldn't be restricted by having to flow through the pipe at all. ...

that is transformer hum, the only way to improve it is to dampen the transformer....which is a pain. the best way unfortunately is to get a better amp/speakers. my logitech z-640 amp does the same thing and i solve this by using a seperate power strip with only the logitech sub/amp plugged into this...

Anyone try the DTR Athlon CG stepping?
The next cpu I buy will probably be the DTR Athlon 3200, but I'm curious to know if anyone has tried it. It is the new CG stepping which is supposed to run cooler, and it doesn't have a heat spreader for better cooling. One review at Newegg said that most heat sinks won't reach the core though.....t...

maybe even what mine is doing wouldn't bother most people. my pc is really very quiet. i'm sure that i don't have the most silent pc on the forums, but even the most extreme here would not mind working next to my pc.....that is when the vga silencer is not acting up. sometimes it doesn't make this s...

Don't buy Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer!
If you want a quiet computer stick with the Zalman heatpipe vga cooler. I had a zalman on and switched it to the Arctic cooling p.o.s. to bring down case temps. that was a huge mistake.....i am going to put the zalman back on. At first the Arctic Cooling was great, but after a month the fan has star...

from a review that i saw the 7200.7 is faster in real world tests than the cuda V....i also thought that i saw an article on here about the noise of them too. it is supposed to be louder than the V and doesn't have the foam over the circuit board. I just got my 120 cuda V with the 8 meg cache today....
