Ya. that seagate has the loudest access noise that I even encouter for harddrives. I switched to a Samsung SP2004 and I can't hear anything from my computer now

Get a Zalman VF-700 ALCU or CU. If you success in unlocking those pipes, ur video card will get hotter than what your original fan can handle. VF-700 coolers can really do a good job in cooling down ur video card even at the lowest speed.

I was wonder if I should put two fans on the SI-97. One on top of the fins and one underneath the fins. Will it help lower temp?

I have my 7000 alcu modded with nexus 92mm @ full speed and it's around 53C under load with my mobile AXP. Pretty good result consider the stock fan was way louder at full speed and it only was able to do 48C

Go get a Thermalright SI-97. it's the best heatsink for socket a right now and it doesn't require u to have any mounting holes.

Well, I have an AXP cooler that came with the 2100+ Palamino and a bigger AXP cooler taht came with the 2500+. I'm trying to save money as much as I can so I prefer making a HS suitable for my vid card. My friend has the NV Silencer 1 and I found that to be way too loud.

I have a Ti4200 and I seen people installed Athlon XP CPU coolers onto their video cards and I want to do the same thing. I have a dremel but I'm not sure what do I need to do to drill the holes into my AXP cooler. Will like some suggestion.

Does High pitch sound from PSU means it's getting too hot? My Sparkle makes this high pitch noise for 30 secs and then it stops but the fan speed goes up so I can hear it. Does this mean that the PSU is getting too hot?
