3700 BQE Power Supply ?s

In the review by Ralf, he says that the stock power supply from the 3700BQE is fairly quiet, and does not ramp up in speed, even after running PRIME with no case fan. THis part interests me, because I use my computer for encoding. I don't want a power supply that ramps unesscarialy. (sp) However, I'...

Heavy CPU usage power supply question.

I noticed that a lot of the "silent" power supplies have a ramping feature in which the fan speeds ramp up under heavy usage. I use my computer at 100% CPU usage 24/7 due to video encoding. What is the most quiet power supply under those conditions?

what are your hard drive temps like?

Also, since I use my computer to encode, will the higher power draw cause the nexus power supply's fan to ramp up and become noisy?

Help, I'm a NOOB! Need hardware sugguestions.

Hi, I'm looking for a new silent computer system. I have tried making my exisitng case to be more quiet, but have failed miserably, probally because I have used substandard silencing hardware. I.e. vantec stealth fans, vantec controller. Pretty much the only worthwhile silencing components I have bo...

thank you so much for the help guys.. SMART shows nothing, and the fact that both drives i've tried show the exact same problem makes me thing that Edward may be right. I DO have 2 7200 rpm drives, with the other being a seagate. And they ARE both mounted to the same structure. The hum i hear is ver...

Matxor Humming

Yes, i know maxtors are loud pieces of crap hard drives, but I'm running into a problem that I'd like your guys' input on. At idle, my hard drive intermittently hums and vibrates. It follows a set pattern of ~3 seconds silent, followed by ~2 seconds of hum. I can feel the vibration of the drive when...

antec True power 300 vs Sl350s

Which of these is quieter?

True power 300 vs Sl350s (Which comes with the 3700BQE)

I know the true power has 2 fans, but i was wondering if maybe they spun so low RPM that they'd be quieter than the 3700BQE's power supply..

The wattage isnt' a factor btw.. thanks for your time.
