I have an Antec P150 and an Asus A8N SLI Deluxe, and I'm having the compatibility problems. I'm trying to get the replacement Neo HE that has the fix. I want to try updating the BIOS too, but I'm not sure how I can because: A) I don't have a floppy drive B) It crashes within a few seconds so there ...

The reviews from NewEgg tell a slightly different tale, with one user receiving a NeoHE power supply that failed to start four different Athlon 64-based machines. One particularly troubling fact: One of our own posters sent his NeoHE power supply back to Antec, understanding he would get a new one....

company policy is stated by antecrep "no exceptions will be made". I wouldn't bet cash money on it. I think if push came to shove they probably would, but... Plainly put, Antec needs to rework their entire support and rma department and revamp their procedures and policies. I'm not saying fire every...

I am starting to wonder about the QC at Antec. A new SLK2650-BQE had two bad LED's out of four on the front panel. If it had been one, perhaps I could understand it. I fixed it myself because it was less trouble than any other alternative. A month or so back I had a couple of blue LED tricool 120mm...

Perhaps a better solution at the moment is lacking, but I for one feel this is an extra burden/responsibility on the consumer for an admitted antec problem. Of my 3 units, all 3 had the broken sticker (as even my current revised unit), as I am going to guess most all of them from production start th...

Just my opinion, but I'd rather remove the Scythe Ninja twice before removing a motherboard once to replace a PSU.. I can have my Ninja off in about 30 seconds most times. Putting it back on is a little more of a challenge but still far and away less trouble than disconnecting wires, cables, removin...

I still see that this issue is being minimalized by the comment "the PSU doesn't work with 2 Asus motherboards". I proved to Antec and the other readers here that this statement, while true in your experience, is not accurate out in the real world. I had 4 boards, 2 non-Asus as you know and they all...

AFAIK, All PC component makers have the same policy! of course they do, but others also will stand behind their out of box all defective items . Looks like antec has collected enough money from us by selling overpriced cases (p180) that they will no longer care about their customers. I will never r...

I concur with you Sir - the quietest drive I've ever used. I started out with a 10mb MFM 5.25 drive and worked up through such drives as the seagate 80mb full height 5lb boat anchor, to micropolis 1gb screamers, rll, esdi, scsi, blah and such all the way up to the barracuda line, diamondmax, wdc, ad...

Yea, I think every one of the PSU units had the "warranty void if removed" sticker torn/broken. It's just that kind of thing right there that contributes to a bad image of a company overall. Lots of little things add up, warped doors on p180, 430 HE on the p150, stuff that SHOULD have been caught LO...

They don't seem to have a policy as far as I can tell. I would recommend calling Antec, telling them exactly what happened and saying you want one of the new revised Neo HE PSUs. They have a revised version of the Neo HE that works with ASUS Mother Boards? well, according to antec, yes, but accordi...

I've purposely distanced myself from this thread since my last post, but am disapointed to hear of those getting the revised unit(s) that are doing the same thing. All I can suggest is to keep after them , there is a warranty on the item, or better yet if you can return to the vendor and purchase co...

I have mine in the antec p150. I first tried the squishy silicone bushings, then the suspension and to be honest really couldn't tell a difference. Either mounting method just results in a ticking that I can't even hear from my normal seated position. 1 tricool on low, passive ninja, 7800gt with riv...

Re: New Raptors on the Horizon
http://www.dvhardware.net/article8814.html Supposedly has the same noise characteristics (poo), but will have 2x the capacity. Designed for SATA II/SAS... will be coming soon. I dont know about you guys, but I'm TOTALLY getting 2 ;) Don't know what the poo comment refers to, it's the quietest drive...

ok so I slapped the scythe ninja on it, passive for now. Run 2 instances of stress prime 2004, virus scan, trojan scan, media player w/ mp3 going, and writing a letter and got a max of 144f. Better? I bet a fan would help even more. I noticed something bothersome though, the NB zone was showing 127f...

temps sound about right to me. welcome to life with intel Can you check the voltage in your bios. It should be around 1.388V for the 650. The 550 should have ran at 1.425 V... If its higher than 1.388V its creating a LOT of unneccessary heat. Source: http://www.techpowerup.com/cpudb/ cpu core is at...

Crazy heat on new build - What happened?
Well, built up a system in an Antec P150 about a week ago - Asus A8N Sli deluxe, 7800GT video , 1gb of ram, two optical drives, 1 74gb raptor. Antec neo 430 w/ 80mm fan, 1 tricool 120mm in back on low. Stock cpu cooler. Temps on chip were about 95f at idle, load about 105. Flash forward to today, on...
