You should go with undervolted Nexus fans and suspend both drives with elastic clothing. Two casefans should be plentiful, one is probably enough.
Don't forget to cover up the top fan position and mount all fans with rubber screws.

Re: What is your first step when silencing 7200RPM HDDs?
Suspending it is the superior solution imo. It will lower noise beside vibration to. A close second is just laying it on a bit of foam but it won't work with multiple drives.

You can store a lot of porn in that case
Enormous but a really well built case, can't wait until your hardware arrives .

You can always place the fan on the outside but cooling will suffer a bit.

P183 has a lot of space if you removethe upper HDD-cage. Silverstone Fortress 2 is also a good option but a bit pricey.

Great review! Seemed like you'd never review anything but complete systems for a while but two great HDD reviews in a row makes me a very happy man :). WD Black continues to be a worthy 7200 drive although I think the increase in noise compared to a standard 7200 RPM drive is too much. Suspending it...

Yes, the Ninja Mini will fit perfectly in that case, and it will provide very good airflow even without the included Scythe fan. There are examples in the SPCR gallery (older entries, but the case didn't change). Is there a reason for getting an AMD processor for a rig that's supposed to be running...

Good news for international buyers is that I fond some new shipping box that is light enough to be under 250g I also removed the black power cable that most of you will not use. So the shipping to Europe and other international destination is reduced from 18.95$ to 11.95$ Terrific news! Wish I had ...

Try Chieftec Smart WH-01B. It's 1mm steel, large and heavy, it has 8x5,25" bays. No holes on the left side should be quite efficient at reducing noise leak out :) Plus Chieftec's high quality and understated elegance all around :) http://www.chieftec.com/WH01.html To bad it has ventilation holes on...

Cases with reverse ATX seem to be the next upcoming thing in quiet computing, I wonder how the top fan-aided cooling stands against a side-panel fan, acoustically and thermally. If the top vent could be made less audible but still improve thermal performance, I see no need for a case with isolated P...

Nice review but there's one thing I don't get, you like the HDD bays because they are easy to use and use less material compared to P18X but at the same time you do prefer P18X rubber gromets? Please explain. Acoustically, this case seem inferior compared to P183 which is a great case even by todays...

The PWM Slipstream are reviewed in several CPU cooler reviews here such as Mugen 2 and Ninja 3. I do think Slipstream is smoother but they seem to wear-out quicker then a Kama fan, the later seems a bit higher in quality. I don't think the idea is a great one though, the motherboard will react to th...

Re: Advice on a small but well performing AM3/AM2 cooler
A Xigmatek HDT-S1283 pointing towards the top of the motherboard. Hr05 on the Northbridge and a Scythe GT on the xigmatek. GT's have a good backpressure so it will move some air through the HR-05 (and even more if you make a duct). As of now it will blow straight into the PSU of my chieftec case, I...

Cooling capacity of a good 92 mm -fan tower-shaped cooler should be enough to keep it under 50 degrees I figure Any 92mm fan tower would be at least about 95mm wide, 17mm less than the Ninja: if you've said that you need 25mm less or so about... ...for the HR-05 IFX SLI, give also a look...

The HR05 SLI would be an option if it was available. In sweden it cost more than a Mugen 2 because of it's rareness, a regular HR-05 or a similar cooler from Noctua or Xigmatek is less than 20 $ so I'm aiming for that. A HR-05-IFX is 20 mm across the fins, that leaves me about 20-25 mm space to the ...

I recently upgraded my main PC to a Phenom II X4 940 with a 790X motherboard. It's actually not that big, V2 may seem almost as big as a HR03 but in reality it's much closer to my old Zalman VF900 in size and the fin spacing is really tight. That's probably why it's performance depends so heavily on airflow. Also the SilenX fan is really weak undervolted, probably not the bes...

Results for Thermalright V2 for HD5750
I did a lot of research before i decided on buying this cooler instead of HR-03 Rev.A for my HD5750. It's much cheaper here and that was probably the most important factor. It works well and have lots of clearance to PCI-brackets but a word of warning, buy a high quality fan will lots of airflow, th...
