And look for "Galaxy" - they sell a quiet-ish 6800 GT as best I know (with what suspiciously looks to be an arctic silencer...) .

Me, I'm happier having a less power hungry card (100 WATTS????) and a "out of the box"-quiet variant (Hello HIS IceQ II) rather than the NVIDIA screamers.

AccoustiFan 120's come in 2 and 3-pin configs. My XP-120 is cooled by a Tach-sensing 120 mm fan.

A 2.8 Should "no way" be too much to be silenced. Zalman 7000 (quite happily) quieted down a colleagues 3.0 GHz P4 (Prescott), so you should be good. In general copper is better than aluminium, yes. However, this is not a straight "apples and apples" comparison.
