Where you guys based?

Have you e-mailed HIS about this yet? (They must have some plan to fix this - can't really be selling a "high end but quiet" card, which isn't quiet, can they :).

And look for "Galaxy" - they sell a quiet-ish 6800 GT as best I know (with what suspiciously looks to be an arctic silencer...) :).

The 10/10 (from the review) I find a little ... debatable. Not starting a debate on TT, the weight of the critter tends to concerrn me a little (but I tend to be over cautious). I'm personally using the XP-120, and since a fan is still required, I'd rather be able to mount a decent 120 mm fan onto t...

An easier way to install this "critter." I had no problem doing it with it installed in my case. I did remove the VGA card to gain some working room though. 1) Remove old CPU retention part. 2) Install Thermalright retention part. 3) Hold the HS at an angle, so that the side with the heatpipes is a...

Me, I'm happier having a less power hungry card (100 WATTS????) and a "out of the box"-quiet variant (Hello HIS IceQ II) rather than the NVIDIA screamers.

Sure is - all mine are.

I've got two Evercool Aluminium 120's (riding under the "TITAN" brand in Europe).

AccoustiFan 120's come in 2 and 3-pin configs. My XP-120 is cooled by a Tach-sensing 120 mm fan. :)

Easy peasy...

A 2.8 Should "no way" be too much to be silenced. Zalman 7000 (quite happily) quieted down a colleagues 3.0 GHz P4 (Prescott), so you should be good. Or, if you want go "deluxe" and consider upgrading to a 3.4 GHz or so sometime, consider the XP-120, which DEFIANTELY pacifies Prescotts quite darn we...

In general copper is better than aluminium, yes. However, this is not a straight "apples and apples" comparison. I've recently bought the XP-120 (replacing my SP-94 with it), and let me tell you, that beast ROCKS. If your motherboard can accept the critter, I'd say, go with that. That and a decent q...

Certainly a handy little thing :).
