It may be fine. Who knows how many times our unboxed OEM hard drives have fallen in the warehouse before they are shipped to us. And shipping can be a pretty wild time too.

As others have said, always back up important data, even if the drive is "trusted".

Each of my 4770 cards use way more than 60W on load.

I am using Thermaltake heatspreaders which have heatpipe coolers. They made a huge difference over the stock heatspreaders.

Before using the Thermaltake coolers, I had a fan mounted directly on top of the four memory modules - that's how hot they got (when stressed).

I'd hate to clean off the desktop every time I want to tweak something. Unless I could manage to keep it looking like the picture 100% of the time.
