You are working on Tinker 1137 (12:09:20] Protein: p1137_p1131_L939_K12M_355K) This link http://vspx27.stanford.edu/psummary.html will tell you the point value on most Work Units (WU) AMDs perform very well on tinkers compared to Intels. They do take quite a while to complete though. I wish there wa...

I have my liquidninja folding stats sig at the bottom of my yahoo email.

I just checked it and it is working, so the problem must be at SPCR level.

I think it needs a good nites sleep to heal itself :lol:

I'm glad you saw that wing, now mine quit.

As an experiment I copy pasted Neil's sig code in to my sig to see if I ended up with two sigs and I ended up with 2 codes. I went back and deleted Neil's and it still doesn't work.

Maybe voodoo?

Assuming that you are running v. 5.xx client under windows;

Right click your floding Icon in the taskbar, configure,chose the advanced tab, at the bottom use the dropdown menu and chose "Deadlineless".

I think you will end up with mostly tinkers and all smaller WU's with this setting.

I'm not sure what processor the "spitfire" is. There are tags that can be added to some AMDs.

What OS are you running, and which version of the folding@home client are you running? For instance, I am running the windows version 5.02 with XP.

The distributed computing concept is based on people donating unused(wasted) cycles to the project. This seems to be the core and the most efficient means of donation. Dedicated folders are good for the project, but one must weigh the expenses to their pocketbooks and the use of precious natural res...

I have a mobile XP in a mATX board/box that runs very cool (important in summer) and quiet. They are more energy efficient and very overclockable. I wish all my CPU's were Mobiles.

I'm thinking along the lines of putting it in and external enclosure for back ups and file transfers. Even though it won't be "on" all the time, I have a low threshold for noise nowadays. :wink:

200 G Seagate Deal or Not?

I'm hooked on spinpoints, but a 200 gig seagate for $69 is either a great deal or toooooo loud. Does anyone know first hand if this Drive is within acceptable noise tolerances? http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4008252

It is a high sided estimater, I had a hard time getting it to reach the 400w level picking the biggest power hogs on the menu.

Goes to show that a 400+watt PSU is just for those who have to have the most and biggest of everthing, the American way!
