Thanks... I guess I have some cable management to do if the pictures turned you away from T-Balancer.

The playground Sonata

Hi guys Ever since I wrote about my PSU modding, I knew I would have to get some pictures of my work. Well now I finally got myself to do it. Only problem is, that all the pictures I took of my PSU were messed up by my cheap camera's crappy flash. But, I'll try to get those pictures re-taken and I'l...

However, from the description (and the price, which is identical) I don't think the analog one is a digital + hub, I would assume it is a slightly redesigned version that has the analog sensor equipment onboard. I could be wrong though...! This is from the KustomPC's product description: Package co...

Frank, I have HORRIBLE camera, but I've taken some pictures of my system and the PSU mods. I'll try to post them as soon as I get my work done.

Hi guys The digital version has four digital sensors and the analog version has the hub and four analog sensors, but no digital sensors. The analog sensors react instantly to temperature changes, but the digital sensors take a longer time to reach the actual temperature. If I remember correctly, mCu...

Re: t-balancer question

Hi Frank if you read the PSU section, you can find a thread I made. I had Fortron FSP300-60PN(PF) to start with. I swapped the fan to a Papst and took the fan header outside the PSU. I also attached one digital sensor in to the PSU's main heatsink. So compared to their price, the savings would be ar...

Hi My questions are: 1. for the Nexus fans, do they *need* to be connected to the PSU fan connectors, or will they get enough power if only connected to the mobo? Yes they will get enough power if you connect them to the motherboard. But keep in mind, that not all motherboard fan connectors are able...

Re: Fortron temp readings (upd: T-Balancer experiments &

Hi guys A little update... When I started I had the CPU fan blowing in to the cooler. Well just for the fun of it, I changed it so that it would suck from the cooler. The CPU temps stayed pretty much the same, but I got idle ~3C drop and load ~5C drop in the PSU heatsink temp. I'm guessing this is b...

Well, I forgot to mention that I've covered the Antec holes on the sides and I've done a little mod to the front bezel, that opens it up a little better. The problem with the side vents is, that it gathers a lot of dust inside the case. That (and the escaping noise) were the main reason why I did th...

Airflow in Sonata with a bottom feeding PSU?

Hi guys I got myself a mCubed T-Balancer a few days ago. I've been experimenting with different airflow amounts and I've come to the conclusion, that there is really something wrong with my setup. Running case fans in different configurations just seem to make my PSU fan ran faster. The starting poi...

Hi Jan I also got one black 120mm Glacialtech Silentblade. Maybe even quieter than the Nexus, but only time will tell how the bearings last. Delivered airflow is IMO a bit less? But i don't think that noiseblocker gets too hot, this new ATX v1.3 PSU produces much less heat because it has a better efficiency. 76-80% vs. 65-68%. This mean big difference. I'm thinking about buying a normal fortron blue storm 350W model and replacing the fan with a nexus 120mm,put the wiring outside and connect it there to a molex so the fan will always spin at 1000 rpm. PWM DOESN'T play nicely with Panaflo fans. If you have a Panaflo fan, I recommend against using a PWM-based fan controller. I've never heard this before. Speedfan uses PWM to control fan speeds.
