I'm no expert, I just have a few questions.
I'm assuming that the Case Vents are Fans, right? So if you're going to go with Papst, make sure you're getting the right ones. The exact model number is around here somewhere...
Can you maybe send a picture or description of the CPU cooler?
Thank you.

Removing VGA heatsink
Is it easy? Or will I have to take a hairblower and all that jazz to it?
Can anyone help me out? It's an MSI Radeon 9500 Pro.
Thanks.

Thermalright SB-2?
I went to the Thermalright website, and underneath "Intel Coolers" it lists an "SB-2". It's got all copper radial fin design. I would send a link, but thermalright's website has no direct link to it and I couldnt find another website mentioning it. www.thermalright.com Looks interesting, and has som...

Hrm... So what kinds of tape are safe underneath the motherboard. And about putting wires under the motherboard, my plan is to sort of outline the motherboard's perimiter directly on to the case, and then put the wires there before hand. It seems to me that that's the only way to get it UNDER the mo...

Question about CableGami
Is it safe to route those IDE cabes DIRECTLY behind the motherboard?
As in, the IDE cables are touching the metal and plastic of the motherboard?
And same with power cables?

http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?t=11653 Like that? I tried to put the link above to give you an idea, but you jumped on it, I guess. :P I think it's a real good idea. However, I think that it would look neater if instead of all those holes, you CUT out a rectangle with rounded corners...

Question about thermally controlled fans
If a fan is "thermally controlled" and I hook it onto a motherboard CPU fan header, can I still control how fast it spins? I have a thermally controlled Antec fan hooked up to my mobos fan header, and I cant get a reading on it with Speedfan or anything. Is this how it is with Acoustifans and Globes...

Confused about Papst model codes
Can someone please tell me the fan model numbers of the quietest (dur) papst fans, 80, 92, and 120?
This is, of course, ideally, without the undervolting click that I've heard about.
Thanks a bunch.

I gotta tell you... If you're going to get such a high quality sound card, you better get CRAZY speakers. I recommend the Z-680's, or since you have a THREE THOUSAND dollar price cap, you could just get a reciever and two stereo speakers and hook that up. If I had to choose between the two, I would ...

Wait... they DONT spin at 5 volts, and that's good? I'm confused. Or was that sarcastic. ANYWAYS, Maybe you can try using homebuilt 80-120mm fan adapters. just hook up three Papst 120s to eachother, then take out the 3 fans in the Exos, then make your own little funnel from the three papsts into the...

JUNK the vantec stuff. If you have a little extra dough, slap a thermalright on that bad boy. Replace the Stealths with Panaflo L1As (which seem to be the reigning champions) or other fans on the SPCR recommended lists. Umm ditch the WD, get a Spin Point. Go with the Samsung (This I gather from the ...

To top an sp-94
Howdy, fellas: I'm buying and SP-94 for my 2.6, non-OCd. Will an 80mm Japanaflo L1a at ~6v cool it well enough with having to adjust the voltage to be higher for more CPU intensive programs? Ralf Hutter uses a 92mm at 6V, but that's a 3.0. If anyone has had any experience or some wisdom, please share.
