No, it's not a molex connector, it's a regular 3 pin mobo header thing. So basically, something like this (green rectangles are the female 3 pin connectors, and the black rectangles below them are the male 3 pins)?

40mm fans daisy-chained

I'm using 3 of these to cool my server's ram (4 naked ECC sticks) and I'm wondering if I can daisy chain the three connectors together into one. Will this cut my current down to a third compared to connecting each fan to the motherboard? I see that Corsair has done this with their Airflow memory coo...

HOLY CRAP THREAD REVIVAL

How thick was the aluminum front? Did you have to use flexible paint? And how did you stick it back on?

Thanks, Brendan

Did you use vinyl paint for the front panel? And did you have to remove it? I was planning to paint my SOLO too.

What if I just mount the 120mm to the back of the drive cage? I get a deal for four 120mm fans, so I have an extra I'm not using. Would it improve temps on my HR-03?

I need some answers (URGENT!)

1. Does the Thermalright Ultra 120 Xtreme fit on the DFI X38/P35 boards with a HR-05 on the NB? Or do I have to get the SLi version? 2. I know some people have fitted 120mm fans in the intake of the SOLO/P150 (instead of the 92mm fans). Is it recommended? Anything need modding/cutting? 3. 120mm fan ...

Where do you get this info? Last I've heard, the Thermalright HR03 IS A HS, NOT a fan. Also, you CAN put 120mm fans on it...I don't think you can fit two on the S1 either... Actually I own one, so I have first hand experience. This picture shows two 92mm fans on the S1: http://img2.uploadhouse.com/...

I think you should take a look at the new Thermaright coolers too, then have a passive to passive comparison. That would indeed be interesting. My experience of the Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme is that it's not that brilliant. Because you can't have automatic fan speed control easily (the header ...

Yate Loons are fine...the extreme is more efficient than the regular 120, and besides, you can't have high performance without sacrificing noise levels.

AFAIK, the PSU is not a significant exhaust. It just doesn't pull enough heat from the HSF. BTW, How much clearance do you have to work with for the heatsink?

Only thing I hate about the case is the plastic side panel thing. It just destroys the look IMO. Nice build :D

Does anyone know if there's adequate clearance (and breathing space) for a 120mm fan in the lower 3 5.25 bays WITH the bay covers on? The vents for the intake extend all the way up, so I'm thinking that could also work for a bay mounted intake. Yes there is, presuming you're going to remove the kno...
