Removing Ahanix dBox fan controller(Help me Bluefront..)
I don't know if this is the right forum. If not, move it.. I've already got a Zalman MFC1 fan controller which I guess does it's job but it lacks a couple of features. 1. No 12V startupvoltage to start fan and then go down to chosen voltage.. 2. 4.5V lowest possible volt But the fancontroller which ...

Check this database.. Almost all clock up to XT PE speeds..?! those are some interesting temps, would bet money almost all those cards far under 75-80C are either WCed or have floor fans pointing at them, unless they're recent enough to be using one of the new Silencers. :P but yeah, if you can coo...

Ok, I've checked several swedish forums and over here there is almost 100% success rate. Check this database.. Almost all clock up to XT PE speeds..?! Also, the card which I have in the mail over to me is from the 630430* serial series which has had 100% success rate, where I've checked(we'll see in...

needless to say ATI's VIVO cards have the same laser cut as the regular Pros so the mod won't work. Huh? I've bought a ATI x800 pro vivo. Actually it's a plain pro but every card so far in the serial number series and that batch has had the rage theater chip and has been able to flash to XT PE Anyh...

Cheers Dave Exactly, why pay more? Check out his Guide it is suppose to be really easy. If you have a vivo card, with 1.6ns r...

If you own a Reserator write here! (Temp/CPU/GPU)
I've read countless reviews and all say pretty much the same: It's up to par with great aircooling solutions and dead silent. So I've got one ordered! But I've heard different feedback from user. So here is your chance to either prove the neysayers wrong or the other way around! Just enter the info ...

The total wattage used in the Reserator review is pretty close to the total you're looking at. (jump to the test results on page 5) Considering that you are never likely to run your system at those loads long enough to ever reach the temps in the review, I'd say you're perfectly safe. Yup I r...

Heh...like I said earlier in this thread, measuring everything to assure a good fit was the hardest part of this project. You can hold your drive sideways in the case(with wires attached), and measure the clearance you have left. Then you know exactly how wide the bird-house can be. The other measu...

Advice on my new Quiet BQE combo & Getting 2,8v with MFC
So I've got a BQE which I've removed the HD cage from and taped all the not used small openings on the front bezel. I'm building my new silent PC with the component below. What I'm planning to do is to build a "Bird-House" HD Cage to silence and cool my "whoosing" 7200.7's and have the Yate Loon fan...

Yeah, the VAT is tough but you are lucky to live in Sweden. I would rather pay the VAT than live in the US and get cheap computer parts. :) I lived in Switzerland for a while and they are more expensive than Sweden and have a lot less selection. I've looked through the PCconnection.com catalog and ...

Well here's what the case looks like from the front. The main reason this setup is so quiet (IMHO) is the distance of the fan from the front of the case. It sits back a full 9" from the front, plus the airflow makes several turns in the process. You'll have to try it to know for sure. Imitation is ...

I doubt if that fan will actually start at 2.8v. The dBox controller it's hooked up to, always starts at 11.5v, then drops down to 4.5v. At that point you can lower the voltage manually to 2.8. Tell you what...I can plug in the fan when the controller is running at 2.8v. I'll get back to you... Gre...

That's a Yate Loon 120mm in the photos. It's the quietest 120 I've ever heard, and can run as low as 2.8v.....which is the lowest speed on the dBox fan controller. At 11.5v it sounds like an Evercool. Will it start at 2.8v? Because I've got a FSP350-60PN and I believe it has got a Yate loon 120m fa...

Acoustipack Pre-Cut for BQE!
I talked to Jeremy Goodman over at acoustiproducts about their upcoming acoustipack pre cut for the Antec BQE3700 case and he told me in the 17 of May that in 4 weeks time from that time it would be available and 6-8 weeks in Sweden where I live. That was a couple of weeks ago. I've tried replying d...
