oh.. no, i'm not saying that the springdale is better than canterwood. i just said that abit's IS7 outperformed most canterwoods. canterwood is definitely more superior, especially featurewise. what i meant to state is that the performance gain (6100mb/s from 5900mb/s memory bandwidth) PAT offers is...

personally, i'd get the 2.4C and o'c it over 3ghz. but that's just me. jamoore9, extremetech, digit-life, and xbitlabs also have articles up showing that the p4 3.2ghz ( and sometimes even a 2.8C) kicks 3200+'s butt. i'm just saying this because most ppl don't think high of thg anymore. also that 'b...

... you might want to consider limiting the CPU usage in order to prevent possible thermal problems and premature failure of components. Some of the machines could easily be put in places that prevent good airflow. i can understand that last bit... but i've never noticed a temperature rise of more ...

i've added 8 more cpus... two celery 766mhz, four duron 800s, and two 1500+ laptops. however, only four of them are cashing in their workunits. i've checked some of the logs, and most of the time i see WU's getting deleted. they don't fold 24/7, so i don't know exactly why that's happening. i don't ...

ayayay... ah well, while you're having fun, i've added eight more boxen. i couldn't take it anymore, everyone else and their more than one active processors. granted, these extra boxes don't fold 24/7, got only 700-odd mhz of duron/celery power, and that i've managed to get only 6 extra point...

you definitely have too much time on your hands... hehe. well, with his 58,800points/day, and our 5,000 odd, taking into consideration of all the farms Zhentar and the others have planned, we might have decent chance to reach #2 without any hiccups. then we'll just get peter to buy several more serv...

EMIII reported me having 23:58 per frame on that WU. that was pretty disappointing, but last night i stopped firedaemon for a while (so i could do a quick benchmark) and after i restarted it, i got a SSE Boost OK in the log files, and now the logfile reports about 10mins a fram on the p544 i'm doing...

well, the results ended up finding their way home, albeit, only after another WU was completed: [03:31:56] + Attempting to send results [03:31:56] - Reading file work/wuresults_03.dat from core [03:31:56] (Read 835730 bytes from disk) [03:33:47] + Results successfully sent [03:33:47] Thank you for y...

Question: my first two WU's took over 24 hours to complete, but only got me 15 points each. Does that seem a bit low to you? It was discouraging enough for me to put folding on hold for a while. mine's a bit stingy on the points and slow too (24mins a frame), but i keep to folding since every littl...

dukla2000, my first few WU's were tinkers, and after that, they were all gromacs. only after i reinstalled windows xp a week ago, i started using tinkers again. owz, i've been going through my stats, and there were a few times my points/day went 60+ which kinda makes me feel better, since your p3 gi...

i have a p4 2ghz on a passive heat sink. i knew that the -advmethods switch specifies only WU's on newer cores to be worked on (gromacs and such) but i didn't know that by using gromacs instead of tinkers, i'd be increasing my points/day. i was under the impression that both outputs equal points/day...
