Hi nyu3,

Nice mod, I'll like the work on the psu, for the GTS 450 maybe with one 120mm fan@5v on the accellero will fix the problem ?

Is a 5400tr 2.5" Hdd in enclosure is silent as an SSD ?

Hi guys, For my next build my main objective is a very quiet computer, I don't want to use my 3.5 7200tr Hdds suspended in my Solo anymore. I was thinking to use a 2.5" 5400tr hdd in a Scythe quiet drive for the storage an a ssd for the OS. Do you have any experience with this setup, can you suggest...

Removing A Rivet Because pop rivets are made from soft metal, they are very easy to remove with a drill. Take a drill bit very slightly larger than the original rivet hole. 4mm rivet = 5mm drill bit. Place the drill onto the head of the rivet. http://www.evilution.co.uk/info/tools/usage/rivet8.jpg ...

That airflow pattern is to be expected. The case fan pulls air through the lowest impedance source -- closer, w/ less restriction vents end up being primary inatke air sources. I discuss this in every fanless PSU review. Hi mike, so the best place for a good airflow pattern with a x-400 in a case w...

hi,

AmonRaa had one with a p5q pro in his solo, he has to remove the horizontal bar next to the cpu.

I've done it a long time ago on my solo, it's very easy.

Hi doveman, I don't own a three hundred but I think You just have to use a stell drill on the rivets to remove them properly witouth damaging anything. And if you want you can do a 5.25" mod with the 3.5" cage, you had just one panel to move and you can suspend your drive in. http://img695.imageshac...

Hi AmonRaa, * You can add a Scythe Slip Stream @5v on the gpu to cool it down a lot. * Maybe cut a blowhole on the top of the solo right under the X-400 grill cover for the heat excape by natural convection. And can you please post a picture of your tower, I'll like to see how the HR-2 fits in the s...

Obviously the higher rated model must have better components to have that rating. The previous poster must be wrong.
400w fanless share most of it's components with x650 model (check on hardware secrets)

I love these cards, what I usually do is strap a 92mm Nexus @5V right on the heatsink and you get wonderful temps with almost no noise at all. These are great way for non technical ppl that are normally afraid of disassembling their cards to get great temps and silence together with performance. An...
