My PC i use at work for image editing (not heavy duty mind you) is a 933mhz PIII. Right now I have some cheap PSU and a 120mm thermaltake fan at 5v suspended over the mobo. The fan on the PSU is right over the stock heatsink, and the air from the 120mm fan flows over the heatsink and into the PSU. W...

This fan will put out some air, and at 12v the noise is...acceptable
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811999028
At say, 5v, it is pretty much inaudible.

I am running a X300 right now, and it really does not get that hot. I have one of those Zalman northbridge flower coolers that i am going to attempt to mount to it, and if it works, I have no doubt that it will be able to provide adequate cooling. That should say something about the X300s heat output.

Opteron 144 and Thermalright SI97a
I just recently purchased an Opty 144 1.8ghz stock and plan to OC it to around 2.4ghz or so. I purchased a Thermalright SI97a along with it, and a Nexus 92mm fan to go with that. http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/3922/9918or8.jpg http://mythic.tv/images/nexus92mm.jpg The problem is, i am not sure i...

Here are some different adapters:
http://www.svc.com/4to3ad.html
That one is 4 pin molex to 3 pin, but only for power.
http://www.svc.com/pana4ptail-rpm.html
The above adapter allows for rpm sensing as well.

Watch it if you plan on using a Celeron D. They are Prescott core based, and the one i have (2.8ghz) idles fairly cool at around 35-37C. Put any load on them however, and temps go up quick (40-47/48C). These temps are with a Scythe Katana, and with the stock cooler it would regularly run 50C and up....

How quiet are those Yate-Loons? I just recently ordered some to install. I could've gotten the Nexus, but i felt that I needed the airflow and the Yate-Loons were quiet enough. They are both running at 5V, so they're very quiet, but doesn't that put it in the same speed range of the Nexus? Regardle...

The fan in the pic does appear to be a 80mm, though it is listed as a 120mm in the link i provided. Believe me, the fan is still on the Katana. In fact, I am currently searching for a better 92mm fan to replace it, maybe one with a bit better airflow. It isn't so bad in the winter, but during the su...

Nice job. :D I recently acquired a Cooler Master case, though it is not a Centurion 5, but a RC-330-KKN1-GP (their cheapest model). It looks to have come with the same case fan that is in yours. Interestingly enough, at a full 12v the fan is EXTREMELY quiet and i have never even seen a passing menti...
