NeoHE 430 Loud.... too many fans causing ramp up?

Hi guys Just put together a new system and I'm finding my NEOHE 430 to be the loudest fan'd component now. I used to have this running in a 3000B but never heard because the HD's and Fans were loud. System Specs ---------------- Antec P150 Case C2D E6300 Stock Asus P5B Deluxe Scythe Ninja 2 x Seagat...

Trust me too, the VF700 is a bad choice in any situation. Even at 5V it's FREAKING LOUD in comparision to my new system. lol... u must have a really quiet system then because i couldn't hear my VF700 at 5v with 2 x nexus 120's at 5v, 1 tricool on low. VF700 at 12v is a different story though, but t...

bah you guys stacking it against me! I still say go for VF700 set on 5v, it's good enough, save some money so you can quiet another part of the system :)

Re: HDs for P150: Seagate, Samsung or WD?

despite the bad reviews about the 7200.10 being noisey, i actually went ahead and bought it anyways. The seeks are loud and noticeable, but i don't have any whine coming from my drive.

if you wait a few days i'll be mounting 2 x 7200.10 320gigs into a p150 and i'll share with you my findings.

zalman vf-700alcu or the full copper version should be good. I had one on a ATi X800XL on silent and it kept temps below 70C at full load and i couldn't hear it over the rest of the comp (loud hard drives, and nexus 120's running at 6-7v).

yah pretty good... but i would suspect that your stock cooler wasn't on tight... i have a evga 7900 gto that idles at around 39C.

my old x800xl used to idle in the 50's and peak over 100c! cooler didn't sit right from the factory.

any complaints about it? what are the chances of the pushpins coming loose and letting the giant heatsink fall onto the video card? I sometimes am a little rough on my systems when handling. This will be used on a socket 775 system and i've never used the pushpins so i don't know anythign about them...

yah its' quite squashed although not completely. I think they shouldn't have even shipped something like this. They provided free sleeving on their products so they obviously had to open the box and saw the unit. I paid to get a new 100% condition unit, and as far as i'm concerned it's not 100%. It'...

My Jing Ting Northbridge cooler came bent.... any problems?

Just got this to reokace my zalman nb47j because it wouldn't fit with my new 7900GTO on an Asus A8N-SLi deluxe. the heat pipe came bent right in the middle. I emailed the place I got it from and they claim that most of their stock comes like that. I've seen quite a few pictures of peoples coolers th...

ok well i've been playing with it more and it's definately not the fan. Not Enough power? NeoHE 430 makes funny noise...

Hi Guys I'm not sure if my PSU has enough power for my system. I just got a eVGA 7900GTO to replace my MSI X800XL and my Antec NeoHE 430w likes to make a high pitched Whine/buzz when it is stressed from 3d load. It happens particularly in 3dMark06 where its heavy on the 3d tests. System Specs ------...

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Yah i'm uncertain whether or not the 38mm Panaflo L1A will fit the front of the 3000B especially with the plastic fan mount. WHat do u guys think, I use my computer for gaming as well as regular work. I need it quiet when i'm not killing Counter-Terrorists (CS :)) My plan is for using L1A's for Intake and Exhaust in a SLK3000B. I have a XP-120 That i'll either use the stock TRI-COOL on or a Nexus. My First "Quiet" System

I've decided it's time for a quiet system. Sick of noise coming out of my Aluminum Chieftec Dragon. HDD and Fan noise is crazy! Oh and i've a Asus A8N-SLI, the chipset is ultra loud. Originally planned for P180, but it's taking so long and I suddenly don't feel like spending so much on case. So here...
