I just recently purchased the 1TB version of this drive (Ecogreen F2). I am pleased to report that it is the best overall drive I've ever used, it is almost as fast as the 500gb single platter Seagate 7200.12 drive I use as a system drive and has better vibrational characteristics than the 640gb WD ...

I should post my build sometime in the gallery, once it all comes together.

I'll help them test it out. I've got a 45 watt dual and a 95 watt triple core to find various results.

I've also got a couple graphics cards that would be more than happy to be guinea pigs.

Why not invert the ATX standard and then reinforce the videocard mounting mechanism. Then it would be a matter of placing the PCI (or PCI-e) slots below the main card(s) and then creating a mountable tower heatsink for GPU. Or instead of making a GPU "socket" just re-engineer the slot that is alread...

I agree with above posters, unless you are gunning to play crysis maxed out, you will not need anything above an HD4670 for your resolution. That card is the lowest wattage, but maybe not necessarily the best value for money in terms of performance. So you may want to factor that in. 9800GT/8800GT (...

But doesn't Evga allow changing heatsink without voiding a warranty, then it would be good to simply get Accelero S1 and use it passively or put slow speed 120mm fan on it with zipties. Might be easier and cheaper.

Another way to do it is to have a 780v motherboard from AMD and a single PCI-express graphics card. I know that this configuration can support four monitors.

Ok, maybe not, but it could be a contender. A tower cooler with similar dimensions. Less pipes and surface area but more solid construction.
