The EPIA boards have "Disk on chip" which AFAIK is bootable.
I think you can also boot from a Pen Drive - not sure though.

Wait...is your Celeron a P4 celeron, or a Tutalin/P3 Celeron? AFAIK, they don't make a P4 SLK-800.

PC P&C Silencer Comments

I just installed my PC P&C silencers (3). Here are my comments: Pros: Cheap! Free Shipping! Lots of extras included - 4 screws per fan (duh) Plus 3 thumbscrews (definate plus, really needed these!), 3 power end caps, and thermal paste (why it comes with fans, I'm not quite sure) Really quiet from 93...

Or use Mozilla or Netscape. They have script options, one of them that doesn't allow unrequested windows to be opended. I never get any popups. A Celeron 2.0 should save itself - I know the P4s do. They automatically slow (underclock &/or undervolt) themselves down until they hit a safe temperature (this is, again, P4s).

Does anyone know for sure if the Celeron's save themselves?

Yes, the glue could easily melt if the heatsink got hot enough. I don't know the actual melting temp, though. Erm...how are you going to glue an 80mm fan to a 40mm heatsink? Just curious :) The bracket and shipping would be cheaper than a glue gun (assuming $14 for the glue gun). You could make your...

That's friggin insane! The Radeon 9700 Pro fan is clearly audible through a case, even a relatively loud one. If the FX fan is that loud...I can't possibly begin to imagine.... Also, those temps are just plain dangerous. This card would be completely unstable in even a low to possibly medium airflow...

91% is fine IMO...I used like 89% and it worked fine...temps dropped a bit. 2 C initially, but after a few days it was more like 5 C. It takes a while to "set" or something like that.

A Panaflo in the front should help a bit. My case temps went up 11 F (5 C) after I took my front fan out, so a front case fan should help. (your mileage will vary)

The CoolJag looks fine. If you want a better heatsink, save your $$ for an SK-7 or a SLK-800, and stick an 80mm Panaflo on that.

56 C though! That's pretty hot for a P4. They usually slow themselves down at high temperatures.

Had part of the aluminum block been copper, it might have performed better.

Nice, though. Papst fans have been in development for 20 years, while this type of case fan might have a way to go before being as silent as the form factor would allow.
