Phenom II on AM2+ socket: limitations

Could somebody enlist the limitations that come with this combination?

I'm aware that HT3 won't be used, but what else? Will DDR3 RAMs work?

Gigabyte GeForce9600 on ASUS' M3N-HT Dlx lowest PCI-e slot?

Quick poll - I have the aforementiond GPU and plan to upgrade the mobo. I'm asking about the lowest PCI-e slot because I will need both PCIs for music and WiFi cards. Redzo: True. Thanks for pointing that out!

Mats: thanks for your post about new Phenoms! I decided to return the M2N32 and get M3N-HT/HDMI instead, so I can upgrade to Phenom II later on : )

Care to give your opinion in a poll?

Actually, it's my first decent mobo so any tweaking is still before me ;) I would appreciate if you could share any comprehensive FAQ about undervolting! Thanks for the info about the new CPUs. I'm not sure though if putting Ph2 in a AM2 socket makes much sense though, because of the lower HyperTran...

Lower TDP Processor or Better Hestsink - help me decide! : )

Hi, I've just upgraded my mobo to Asus M2N32 Deluxe/WiFi and I'm considering what to replace next. The choice I have is EITHER replacing my AMD Athlon X2 4200+ cpu with AMD 4850e OR changing my hestsink from Arctic Cooling Alpine64 to Xigmatek HDT-S1283 First option gives me additional 400Mhz/core a...

I meant the direction the fan is exhausting air - is it towards the side of the case as in 1284 or to the rear as in 1283. I have a vent on the side of my case. so the 1284 can dissipate more heat but generates less airflow? is it good? i'm a little confused about the whole heat/airflow thing o_O th...

Newbie in need of advice: Xigmatek HDT1283 vs HDT1284 CF

First of all, hello : ) it's nice to have found a net community like this, and I look forward to participating in this forum! My question is: does anyone know what is the performance of Xigmatek HDT1284 Crossfire? Is it as efficient and quiet as 1283 version? Its specs state it has 800 - 1500 RPM wi...
