I think this site prob sums up what can be found here on SPCR, but i taught it might be help full to have all on 1 page.

http://www.7volts.com/quiet.htm

EDIT: mods if you want to move this to a more appropriate forum, if this one isnt

There are a couple of things which are clearly wrong on that page (suspension no more effective than rubber grommets? Papst 8412NGL 12dB @ 12V?!!) but apart from that it's a good primer.

Oh yeah, 7volts has been around for quite some time. It predates SPCR by several years. AFAIK it's abandoned now...the last update to the site was over 3 years ago.

There's some good general information over there. Some stuff is clearly dated, but several of the DIY projects are really well done.

We used to have a link to it in our Web Links section. (before that section went MIA at the last redesign)

It still has one of the coolest logos of any site even after all these years.

Go up one level (http://www.7volts.com/) and move your mouse across the logo.

Yeah, and that logo also puts a pretty big hit on your CPU usage when the page is loaded. You can see this in Task Manager, and also in your CPU temp. :)

If you want it, you can have it. It's just jscript, and you can apply it to any image. They have a whole package of such things.

That was a nice site, I really like the clean layout, made me think how it beats many of the cluttered web 2.0 sites. A lot of relevant and useful info, I wonder what happened to the admin?

That site helped me out a lot, years ago. I'm even credited on one of the pages for providing a link. :)
