Grounding unmounted HD?
Hi, I recently unmount my hard-drive and I've put it on a carpet+rubber (the HD is in contact only with the rubber) piece on the bottom of my case. Some people (including an electrician) are telling me that I must ground my HD, otherwise, it might be risky? What do you think?
I find it odd, since a regular molex carries 2 grounds...

I would disagree that the drive is grounded just from the power source.
When I installed my cuda in a No-Vibes, my PC started suddenly reacting to static electricity in the room very poorly. It got to the point that when my cat walked by the PC, the speakers would pop loudly and then the PC would reboot. I manually grounded the drive using a little piece of wire, and the problem disappeared.
