And another one, but this time from the embedded division of a mainstream manufacturer, EPoX IP-4MTS2B
SiS has released information on upcoming Pentium M chipsets. Things will surely heat up in the Pentium M arena in 2004.

Where can you buy a Pentium M (centrino-type) chip though? I checked pricewatch and no listing.. Just P3 mobile and the crappy P4 mobile. All fairly expensive as well..
It is tempting, since the big weakness of the current mini-itx platform is the performance of the Cyrix (C3) chip. The Nehemiah isn't TOO bad, at 1ghz it performs in the p3-800/900 range.. but a Pentium M would perform in the range of an Athlon 1800-2000!

Following my own directions from my post in this thread, I googled the boxed processor part number for a 1.3M (BXM80535GC1300E) and got all these hits, so they are fairly readily available.wumpus wrote:Where can you buy a Pentium M (centrino-type) chip though? I checked pricewatch and no listing..
