The MAXX is back?

It appears that ATI and Sapphire plans to reintroduce the MAXX line of video cards with the release of a dual 9800pro product. Here are links with nice pictures of the MAXX:

I wonder how much louder this card may be compared to a "normal" 9800pro, and if it will actually provide serious performance enhancements (as its predecessor, the ill-fated 64MB Rage Fury MAXX, seemed to lack considering its high price). Just curious, though...i dont think i'd actually shell out $$$ for it, but some of us at SPCR may.

And to those who will, have fun silencing it...

It's a non working prototype. Sapphire still hasn't gotten it to work.

Just read about it on The Inquirer, who speculate that it'll never come to market.
