12V "distribution" for both motherboards. The white socket is a so-called
LV socket. The socket openings don't match standard 240v plugs so
there's no confusion.
Sitting on the floor is a DA-2 with a LV plug installed. I had to take the
clamp on ferrite off to get enough length on the internal cores. Will do some research and put a ferrite back in later.
And here is a close up of the LV socket. Its looking very ghetto at the moment with the straps. Trying to figure out a way of installing the socket cleanly.
The puter booted, inspite of me shorting out a front panel LED output inadvertently (wired a microswitch wrong way around - it was a short instead of going through the NO contacts). Fingers crossed no permanent damage. It's STILL formatting the 1TB drive - going at 7 hours+ I reckon.
