Using the "power off for a couple days" procedure it seems I was able to "resuscitate" my VTX2 60G SSD, so now it is candidate for VM operations

Re: The quiet beast: dual Xeon and Quadro 4000 workstation
Ugh have a LOT of pics to post
Quad Blu-ray reading and writing, all drives eSATA
Fitting the OCZ VTX2-60G behind the front buttons/ports
Remaking: Prolimatech S17s with three Scythe SY1225SL12LM-P automatically controlled. Titan TFD-7010M2B for the chipsets
Papst 612M2GL for the storage controller
The beast Quadro 4000 in place
Hard disk fans, rubber mounted Papst 8412N2GL, 1500 rpm, no vibration or clicking noise
Custom-made modular cable for the internal ODDs and the 60G SSD
Final build, workstation V2.0
Two 4-HDD backplanes, no more empty bays
Three intake grills instead of two
No exhaust grille , have to place an air duct to direct the HOT air coming out away from the UPS... PLenty of USB 2.0 ports, FW800, USB 3.0, perforated slot covers to let the Quadro breathe
All measured up and tidied up front
And down below
Mobo end of DIY panel
Cheers

UPS modifying, not to silence the 24V Adda fan, just to remove some "box" noise and to gain much better airflow, so fan stays on less
Getting the new Displayport connection to work
While we're at it, anti-slip and anti-vibration mat under the silm ODDs
Placing and connecting the Taurus backup system
Hey my HD collection's growing from day to day

Some sensor readings in June. The high GPU temp is due to the dual screen handling, in single screen mode it drops to 68
