Custom brushed stainless steel quiet case
Hey guys,
This is not the most active place anymore, but I go way back to the Yahoo group days (I think it was yahoo..)
This is a positively tiny 18 liter mini itx case with enough room for full size cpu coolers, graphics cards and powersupplies, and soft mounted harddisks, even with room for a slim DVD drive! The SPCR forums are a bit ancient, so for pictures go here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/393 ... ming-case/ And the video:

Some more notes about the noise:
- The 140mm Be Quiet fans vibrate quite a bit, was not impressed, but soft mounted its no longer a real issue
- The 120mm Be Quiet fans are much smoother and more stable.
- SpeedFan allows fan curves now, but the old 'warning' temperatures still have to be set high, they override the fan curves!
I'm pretty happy about it!
Niels

Nice build!
Though not aesthetically refined as some branded products, nonetheless it looks pleasant in your video, and it's very practical indeed!

Perfect execution. I love stainless steel, except that other people love to leave fingerprints all over it. >:(
Careful using stainless bolts in stainless steel; it has a tendency to gall.niels007 wrote:...I should've used stainless bolts...
