Has anyone succesfully mounted an IR receiver discretly in the fusion case yet
I've been trying to fathom iy out for ages and cannot do it
Anybody done it?

IR Receiver in Antec Fusion Case

I haven't mounted an IR receiver yet (still waiting for my Ricavision IR receiver to come in).
But I have taken the case apart and replaced the VFD. First you can replace the VFD with the Thermaltake Medialab VFD. But you have to cut a slot in the back for the cables to extend out of. This VFD also has an IR receiver, but in order to use it you have to remove the black paint on the plastic. How well the IR receiver works is anyones guess I haven't booted the system up since I removed the paint. I can report it later this week after I finish up some other mods.
Anyways if you wish to mount an IR receiver there is room in the plastic cage if you remove the paint, but the receiver has to be small, the Ricavision one is the only receiver that I can see mounting in that area, but you are going to have to make something to support the IR modules, and of course remove the paint.
