Lian-Li PC73-SL Review

Post by MrMajestic » Fri Feb 20, 2004 4:16 pm

I just found this review of the Lian-Li PC73-SL case. Its kind of like a huge version of the PC6070. Looks interesting.

That's quite a beast. It looks to be as tall as the dishwasher in the picture on page two.

No one seemed to have any comments when I mentioned this case. Judging from what MikeC has said about aluminum cases though, it's not clear how quiet this case would be. Aluminum cases are generally louder than steel cases, but since Lian-Li has put some effort into silencing the case, who knows? I bet the noise performance IS comparable to the PC-6070 though, just as you mentioned. I think others have commented on that case.

That all said, I've been drooling over it and crying that a) that case is difficult to find in the US and b) it's too expensive for me to afford.

Well, the 6070 is no quiet champion and I would guess that this bigger case would probably resonate even worse than the smaller one.

Looks like the PC73 might have a little better airflow than the rather constricted 6070 though.
