Pre-foamed, silent case - where to buy
I would prefer not to install AcoustiPak myself. Someone who does that work on a routine basis would probably produce a much better result.
Any advice on where to buy a solid, pre-foamed case without a power supply?
Thanks in advance.

The only place I know of is http://www.mnpctech.com/
They use Sonex foam and make very nice custom cases but they are very expensive.
Some other places sell quiet pagage deals with AcoustiPak but those come with a PS.
Hope that helps

Hi, if you take a look at QuietPC you'll find they sell "AcoustiCases" which come with no PSU and pre cut acoustic material. The case is a derivative of Antec 3700 / Compucase design, which is pretty good. You still have to fit it yourself but at least its all already cut to size and instructions are provided. They also do pre-cut kits for Antec Sonata and 3700 series.

ARMsystems also sells a premodded quiet case

For europeans stumbling across this thread and wanting to know where you can buy pre-foamed cases on our side of the atlantic. http://www.ichbinleise.de has a wide range of cases which are "schallgedämmt". (Which amounts to the same as pre-foamed.)
Applying pre-cut foam is very easy. Most panels fall right in place, and all of them can be pulled up and reapplied several times... not that you'll end up doing that though. The panels don't have to go in exactly right, though they end up very close.
I'm interested in those Sonex foam cases. Ideally they would also have a layer of Vinyl barrier. Additionally, an acoustic seal would be applied, where possible, between panels.
EDIT: not to sound like an expert from what I've read, that would be a good design...

Further European source: I've had a "Noise Control Stealth Chieftec Dragon" for quite a while and am very happy with it. Purchased from www.chillblast.com in the UK.
