Antec P150 Prices in Australia

Post by ozdoc » Fri Oct 21, 2005 6:08 am

I note that VTech Industries are taking orders for the P150 in Australia, with availability from December 2005.

http://www.vtechindustries.com.au

Quoted price is AU$299.30 = US$224.
Does this seem somewhat steep, considering a P180 is US$129.99, and the review article suggested a possible price of around US$110??
(edit: ignore that price, actually US $180)

(It looks like a Mac, it's priced like a Mac... perhaps it is a.. )

This is not a direct answer to your question. Just like to share for discussion. I did a search on froogle for US prices and find prices range from $128 to $188 now. This is probably the typical sign of a new product just made available to the market. It should stablize after a little while when demand and supply are in better balance.

The P180 has a MSRP of US$169 & the P150 price was stated clearly in the review article to be $180 w/ PSU. No idea where you're pulling $110 from...

My bad. Misread the price of $110 on the last page, which is for the NeoHE 430 PSU alone. A thousand apologies.

(Although it is a nice case, I think the price point for such an 'individual taste' case might be a bit high, at least in Australia.)

$300 AUD is steep. I'm sure if you wait a bit there will be better prices to be had. The fact you don't have to buy No-Vibes is an instant saver - they're about $40 AUD each, so it's almost like there is three included.

I'm not sure many people would buy a No-Vibes anyway, when $3 of elastic would suffice.
