SLK3000B connectors?

Post by feddup » Mon Jan 02, 2006 7:46 pm

The various front panel connector wires on the SLK3000B have a colored wire and white wire. The Supermicro MB I'm using expects an all in one Intel standard front panel connector but also lists the definitions of the various pins. I'm pretty sure the white wires from the front panel lights and switches are grounds but I'd like someone more knowledgable to confirm or refute this. I downloaded the PDF manual for the SLK3000b but it's somewhat vague. Are the white wires the ground for the various switches and lights? Thanks in advance.

Polarity does not matter for the power connector and the reset connector--either way will work fine. If the polarity is wrong for a HD LED nothing will be harmed but the LED will not light. Do not worry about these connectors.

Usually the "ground" is black or white, with the other coloured* wire going to the terminal marked '+'
