Antec NSK6500 available now

Post by pcweltz » Mon Jun 19, 2006 6:49 pm

It's buyable through the Antec store, and a couple other e-tailers have it in stock as well.....should be hitting Newegg & ZipZoomFly soon.

Hi pcweltz,

FWIW, the NSK6000 has shown up in Japan. It's the NSK6500 w/o power supply. To the right you can also see the NSK4000 which is the NSK4400 w/o power supply. The NSK6000 and 6500 seem to be a good compromise for those who need more room than the P150 or SOLO can provide, without having to move up to the larger P180.

Looks like it has similar dimensions to the SLK3000B.

When you look at the picture on Antec's website, doesn't that power supply look awfully similar to the Neo HE? Does anyone know if the NSKs come with Neo HE power supplies?

I have.

The included SU-430 PSU is a Seasonic design -- the insides look pretty much identical to the NeoHE, minus the modular design, slightly different +12V distribution, and the gunmetal casing.

It is quite a quiet case (easily the quietest I've ever built, but may still be noisy to you freaks), though I was a little disappointed to see the lack of a front filter, but that's no big deal.

I like it because it's a little bigger than the Solo and still comes with a quality PSU.

Any other questions? I have pics, but still need to work on my wire management...

Is it possible to fit two 120mm fans in the front instead of two 92mm fans?

It's really hard to tell short of opening the thing up. Things are packed densely inside, and the rear panel isn't as open as it is on the NeoHE. It's just like the SU-380 that SPCR reviewed a while back.

I don't think you can fit 120mm fans... but I haven't tried, so you never know.
