Lian Li officially embraces big fan "250"mm

Post by Felger Carbon » Sat Mar 24, 2007 5:13 pm

A side-mounted "250"mm fan (the good 13-blade version) is now offered by Lian Li as an option on their PC-7 silver or black case. This case is 210x450x490mm. It has several designations on the Lian Li tw site pages:

"Lian Li PC-7 Plus 250mm fan Silver [Black]"
"Lian Li PC-007BF" (Black), presumably PC-007SF (Silver)

So far, I couldn't find the big fan version being sold in the US of A. You can find it as I did: Googling for "Lian Li 250mm fan", although now I'd add the PC-7.

Saw the silver one in Beijing on my last built. IMHO, it's pretty ugly seeing in person, lacking any of the Lian Li understated good look. Can't see how this can be a good foundation for quiet PC as it is offered with a clear plastic side panel where the big fan is.

Uhm ugly is the word, however Lian Li mostly manufactures rectangular boxes and all the fancy is in the materials and in the price tag.

I was prepared to say Holy Crapoly that's ugly! but it's a PC-7 with a window and a huge fan. Not OTT IMHO ROTFL asscrap acronym.

I don't know how to respond to "Lian Li mostly manufactures rectangular boxes" so i won't.

Lot's of smileys.

The window itself is a Good Thing for silence, I'm told :)

It is stiffer than the metal, yes. It just has to be secured well so it doesn't resonate.
