Antec P180 and Asus P5B
I have got a system with these specs:
- Antec P180
- Asus P5B
- Intel E6700 C2D
- Asus EN8800GTS
I replace the stock case fans in the P180 with Noctua NF-S12 fans. The one down at the hard drives is running at 1200rpm, the two other ones (top and back) are running at 600rpm (ULNA).
I also replaced the stock Intel fan with a Zalman 9500 LED fan, which I have now running at about 2000rpm. I am getting temperatures (idle) of about 45°C CPU and 52°C MB.
Are these temperatures high? For me, the most important is the quietness of the system. I will not overclock my processor. I can run the fans at higher speeds, but find the system a LOT louder. What do you think?

Those are decent temperatures; the MB is a tad hot (I have a P5B Dlx and the MB temp never gets above 46C, even after 24hr+ of Intel TAT), but the CPU temp is quite ok (I get loads of up to 60C+ (core) and ~54C (according cu ASUS Probe) with Intel TAT), so 45C is quite ok, if it's a load temperature

Remove the top plate covering the NB heatsink's fins, that'll help. Connect a low-profile fan to the area above the VRM's will help as well, since they're joined by heat pipes. IIRC there's one guide out there where they do that, plus the remove the whole setup and clean off/apply new thermal grease to it.
SB shouldn't need anything special.
